Re: 2016-2017 Real Madrid injuries and suspensions thread
Lucky for us we have talented third and fourth choice CBs. I trust Nacho to fill in for Pepe and do the job well.
Actually, I trust him more than Varane because, and as opposed to the Frenchman, Nacho is calm and composed and less likely to do the stupid mistakes Varane has been doing lately.

Issue is we have no backups for them. Fortunately, one week of the three we are short CBs is International break so I think it will be just 4 games (2 liga, 2 CL)

Re: 2016-2017 Real Madrid injuries and suspensions thread
yeah let's hope none of our two remaining CBs get injured.
BTW I just went back to watch Nacho's goal against Cultural. What a beaut! No wonder Z and James looked lost for words.
I admire him because he's the embodiment of loyalty and professionalism. Never complained, never uttered a sound of discontent. He just remained grounded, worked hard and gave everything for the club.
He won't be exempt from my criticism if he screws up, he won't get any special treatment from me. But if I could, I would tell him: Nacho, you're a goddamn hero!

I don't mind Nacho, he has been very reliable. I dread the day Ramos come back and we have to see Ramos and Varane take turns in screwing us over.
We might go into the Atleti game without Casemiro, Pepe, Ramos, and Modric (or at least half fit with him) GREAT!!!

Marcelo and Modric both out for a month
If there was ever a point when our season could implode it's now. We will be without Carvajal, Pepe, Bale, Modric, Marcelo against Napoli. Dear me
Instead of going after useless players like Pogba couldn't Perez have tried to steal that German doctor from Bayern ffs

3 outta 4 of our main back line injured. Jeez. They'll be no implosion, just some really close wins.

even the best doctor/prophet can't fix some of these dudes. remember i always say that certain players will always get injured, and we should just hope they don't all get injured at the same time....modric bale marcelo pepe coentrao have always had injury issues, always. anytime either one of those gets injured i'm not surprised. at this point, the coaching staff should always get prepared for that. no doctor is going to come in and give them some legal injection that will magically make them 100 percent.
the best any doctor can do is get some regiment going that may make them instead of missing say 6 weeks out, have them miss 3. even then, it still would largely depend on the players' age, lifestyle, training habits etc.....having an injury and using that rehab time to play golf might not be best for your situation.....instead of a doctor, some of them might need to steal cristiano's work out and diet manual

Yeah but some factors are uncontrollable, like fast twitch slow twitch ratio, body mechanics etc

Re: 2016-2017 Real Madrid injuries and suspensions thread
one of the biggest uncontrollable factors is that some of these guys are just injury prone. balefor example has never had an injury free season with us, and i'm not talking about say an injury leaving him out for a week or a couple of days.....its not like we've had the same medical team for the last couple of years. no matter the changes, certain players just seem to always get injured

Marcelo is an insane athlete despite his bulky physique. The fact that he gets injured sometimes is due to playing non-stop, every minute of every game. he needs a backup asap.

Backup who can't get back up!
(and the problem is he still has two years left on contract and club can't get rid of him. His contract may prevent going after a proper backup.)

Hala any word on Bale? The issue will be with both Dani and Bale to not rush them back even tho we need both badly.

Na Bale is close to returning. This has also been confirmed by Zidane
Pepe on the other hand has fallen off the face of earth. One day he is signing a contract the next day he isnt. This long abscence is definitely due to the contract dispute. I don't think he'll feature again this season.

Come on Hala, you are better than that! If they were going to hold anyone out to a fake injury it would be Danilo. Anyways it seems everyone but Pepe and James are near recovered.

Re: 2016-2017 Real Madrid injuries and suspensions thread
Pepe's injury is a mystery. After he got injured before the CWC there has been no updates on him. This has never happened with him before. Let's not forget he is free to negotiate with any team right now. If it's not the club then it's him, no way an absence for this long is a coincidence when his contract is running out in less than 6 months
