Atlanta is the funniest comedy in years. The BAN episode had me in fkin tears. Darius is in my GOAT comedy characters of all time.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
John Wick mythos TV series in the works, Im definitely in since I really like the world building
Prior to the box office boom of “John Wick: Chapter 2,” the film’s director and franchise mastermind Chad Stahelski said he and screenwriting partner Derek Kolstad had plans for a TV series. Those plans are still in motion, with the project in development at Lionsgate and a new title assigned to the prequel.
IndieWire has learned that the series is being developed under the name, “The Continental,” and Lionsgate is “very excited” about the series. In a separate interview, Stahelski said the focus was expected to be the “cool, Wick-ian, magical, and mysterious world” of the titular hotel.
“They’ve got a really good structure,” Stahelski said. “It’s very tied to the film [in that] it’s about the Continentals all over the world, how certain people come into that world, and what happens in relation to those people, which is cool. I think the world is very vast, and everything I’ve heard from it is very positive. […] It’s something that studio seems very, very intent on [making] and very, very behind.”

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
The Night Manager was legit. Was basically a 6 hours James Bond film minus Aston Martins and big action set pieces. Are me and James the only ones who watched it here?

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
I watched it.
6-hour job interview for Tom Hiddleston as the next Bond.
He wouldn't definitely not look out of place. First show I've seen Hugh Laurie in outside of House. He did not disappoint at all.
Great show.

I feel three huge actors basically gave job interviews as Bond. Hiddlestone in Night Manager, Idris Elba in Bastille Day and Henry Cavill in Man From Uncle.

I believe it is. Watch with subtitles if you can though, Hardy can hardly be understood for most of it .
Still enjoyed it though, despite it's plot and pacing issues.

Nah I saw it. Was quality, if a bit too slick for my taste. Also the woman was unbelievably hot

I liked them both a lot but Legion is slightly easier to recommend because The Leftovers' first season wasn't all that great and a lot of people can't get past it.

Who here can vouch for Suits?
A few episodes in and finding some of the dialogue and characters a bit cheesy.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
it's entertaining but I'd be surprised if you didn't end up dropping it after a couple seasons, I watched most of it before stopping. It falls into a rhythm and recycles feuds and plotlines constantly, like a character will get development and you will think it's completely wrapped up and then it starts all over again rinse and repeat. You start to see the pattern and it becomes pretty boring.

It gets worse and worse. Last time I watched it, it was downright terrible TV.

Absolutely enjoying Hap and Leonard.
Every character is ridiculously over the top, but in the best possible way.
Oh and Pollyanna McIntosh's character is terrifying. Slightly similar to her Walking Dead character, only this one smiles more when doing messed up shit.

IMDb gives this description:
Crime · Set in the late 1980's, Hap and Leonard is a darkly comic swamp noir of two best friends, one femme fatale, a crew of washed up revolutionaries, a pair of ...
