Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
daredevil was aight, RG was over hyping it like crazy. Fight scenes weren't all that, never actually finished season 2 after hearing it was terrible in the second half, definitely felt like there was a decline. I'm not big on marvel series either but I will watch that Luke Cage show.

Finish season 2. There is no decline imo.
Iron Fist will actually be your type since that's purely martial arts. Look out for that one.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
Please RG, the drop in quality was massive after the first 6 or so episodes (:
Still a good show but JJ was a lot more interesting imo.
Btw I don't care the slightest about House of Cards and I'm very much into politics (and think it's high quality).
Doesn't mean I need a TV entertainment show about it.

Daredevil S2 was great from beginning to finish imo. But I can understand the complaints about Elektra's storyline.
Jessica Jones is even better. Don't get the overall hate for Marvel TV shows. Never seen an episode od S.H.I.E.L.D. tbf.

netflix shows in oppose to marvel shows. Would never watch agent of shield but would watch if netflix makes another marvel show (other than defenders)

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
Having watched all of S.H.I.E.L.D and Agent Carter, The Netflix shows are comfortably better given that they are darker and more adult-themed, but AoS has gotten better and better. Legit excited for it's next season. Agent Carter had a sizable and pretty loyal following too (suspect it was just Hayley Atwell fans though, not that I'm judging, she's bangin' and can carry a show all on her own with her screen presence), but was clearly the weakest of the bunch.
I'm pleased and satisfied with what's on offer right now from Marvel on TV. Luke Cage and Iron Fist will do just fine to round out those offerings.

Pretty sure you're just being a contrarian at this point. Which Marvel comics have you read and how can you even imply they're all the same?

You calling me a hipster ? lol
But no it has nothing to do with their level of popularity, it's because i can't suspend my disbelief about superhero characters with extraordinary abilities like the Flash (Barry Allen) or Green Arrow, that's why i've never watched the Batman series despite it being praised by all kinds of critics and alike. also it's not because i hate fiction, i watch (and play) a lot of fictional stuff but this genre just doesn't resonate with me.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
There's no Batman series and none of the things you wrote has anything to do with the Marvel shows. You should really try to give Daredevil a shot.
Also making all superhero related stuff into the same doesnt really make sense to me. Every show is different in its own way.

I get Pedram's point.
He just doesn't like the whole superhero concept and aura around it.

Robert Downey Jr., Nic Pizzolatto Eyeing TV Project at HBO (EXCLUSIVE)
HBO is looking to expand its relationship with one of its proven hit-makers by teaming him up with one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
Nic Pizzolatto and Robert Downey Jr. are in talks for a drama project, with the “True Detective” creator attached to write and the “Iron Man” actor attached to star, sources tell Variety.
HBO and reps for both Pizzolatto and Downey Jr. declined to comment.
Plot details are scarce, but insiders say the project is based on Downey Jr.’s “Perry Mason” reboot, which he had been developing as a feature film at Warner Bros. for several years. Pizzolatto, Downey Jr., and his producing partner and wife, Susan Downey, of Team Downey will serve as exec producers.
Sources indicate the project will be a series, rather than a TV film, and that the project has been gestating at HBO since as early as May.
This project would mark Downey Jr.’s first starring role on television, aside from his “Ally McBeal” stint in the early 2000’s, before he re-surged to became a box-office superstar.
Downey Jr. has wanted to do some sort of “Perry Mason” project for some time, having originally set it up at Warner Bros. as a film back in 2011. The film never found its footing and after his other lawyer-driven pic “The Judge” had mixed results at the box office, the studio and Team Downey thought that television was a better platform for it. “Perry Mason,” starring Raymond Burr, ran on CBS from 1957 to 1966.
With a third season of “True Detective” still in flux, this potential series keeps Pizzolatto in the HBO fold with a new high-profile project, given his recent overall deal with the premium cabler, which lasts through 2018.
For Downey Jr., the project not only marks his big foray into TV on the screen, but also as a TV producer. The “Iron Man” star put a drama into development with Showtime in 2014, though it never come to fruition.
Both Downey Jr. and Pizzolatto are repped by CAA. Pizzolatto is also repped by Anonymous Content.

Watched the first three episodes of The Get Down. Pretty obvious Shameik Moore is a star. Can't wait till he gets the huge mainstream roles.

I've just seen a few trailers of the Bates Motel albeit season 3/4, That's one damn *bleep* up show. Has anyone seen this enough to give recommend it?
Saw a few episodes of Tyrant and regret wasting an hour on Nashville, In my defense i had no idea what it was.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
I will watch it. I downloaded the entire series in 1080p.
A few nice guys have already recommended it to me, but thanks anyway! I appreciate!
PS. Does anybody know something about Survivor's Remorse? LeBron said something about it on Facebook. The plot sounds interesting but it is very low rated on IMDB and not very popular.
PS.2 I watched 4 or 5 episodes from Fargo's 2nd season. I left it a few months ago and decided to continue it because I know it is very good.
I am very impressed about the acting quality, the soundtrack and the way the scenes were shot.
PS.3 I watched all the aired episodes of The Night Of.
Amazing TV Series, high attention to details and very realistic.

Neal McDonough is such an underrated actor, He's been a part of almost every single one of them. He's not too good maybe its just his face that fits in everywhere.

I don't think he is underrated. He is pretty good, but like you said, he is not wow and he never was. Doesn't deserve much praise. He does his job very well with consistency. Doing his thing like a mailman delivers the mails.

Started BoB and went up to 2 episodes and half, I didn't get the hype really. Maybe I'm just not in the war mood. Will leave it for some other time in the far future.
