Neoliberals purging the left, this was expected as soon as Starmer became leader.

But independent authority clearly identified systematic anti semetic stand inside the party.
Why Corbyn allowed anti semetic people get power in Labour?
Why he rejected the report instead of owning up to his own inability to deal with it?
Two questions Corbyn doesn't answer.
Re: General UK politics
I mean if corbyn had not said "it was bad, but it wasn't that big a deal" he would still be in the party...
Even if he is right, it's a stupid thing to say

Corbyn is hugely stubborn, that's why he couldn't let it be. Kinda funny how he's wrecking the party even after losing leadership.

What he said broke absolutely no rule to warrant a suspension. It's unlawful and anyone else would be dragging the labour party to court.
Starmer this morning misquoted corbyn THREE times to justify a suspension. They know.

He is a man of morals. That's why he is the best possible human any country could want as their leader. Unfortunately a good human doesn't make a good politician.
This country deserves Boris Johnson

Re: General UK politics
Jeremy Corbyn reminds me of the classical leftwing behemoths. Perhaps he was last of his species. He has morals and he doesn't mind mincing his words. Perhaps a tactical, diplomatic Corbyn would have lasted longer and perhaps done greater good.
I don't know what exactly were the anti-semitic allegations, but his steadfast support for the Palestinian cause definitely unnerved a lot of people.

true, I don't disagree at all, but I also highlights that corbyn was naive af and is not fit to lead a major partyRealGunner wrote:BarrileteCosmico wrote:I mean if corbyn had not said "it was bad, but it wasn't that big a deal" he would still be in the party...

I am pleased to have been reinstated in the Labour Party and would like to thank party members, trade unionists and all who have offered solidarity.

Our movement must now come together to oppose and defeat this deeply damaging Conservative government.

Labour are no opposition at all. Feeble and pathetic and this pandemic has shone a light on it perfectly.
You have the shadow health sec, who doesnt even have the balls to state his opinion on any Gov action which is exactly from the playbook of Starmer.
Dont have any opinion of your own, just say you would have done the same thing but "longer, quicker, faster". I reference this as today he (Jonathan Ashworth) came out and said they would still have a travel ban and provided no evidence or even a legit reason why, vaccine or not.
I cant see them winning a general election in a very long time.
The reason people dont vote and cant be persuaded to vote is because these 2 parties are the only real options and neither are any good.
Somehow Reform UK are the only ones who make any sense whatsoever. But considering how they are the former Brexit Party...I mean, need I say more?
Richard Tice does seem like someone who is switched on though, no denying it.

Re: General UK politics
Parliament is broken, not that it ever worked but the entire system needs ripping up and starting again.
National Insurance going up, breaking a manifesto promise. Voted passed relatively easy.
All to pay for for social care to clear the NHS backlog created not by the pandemic (despite the reports) but by the lockdown. A lockdown which was never needed and never did anything.
Also of course, the introduction of vaccine passports. Something which makes absolutely zero sense to begin with and is the complete opposite of what this government said they would not do. Not even clear if it will be voted on either.

Re: General UK politics
What an entertaining shit show UK politics is right now. Tory MPs half-openly revolting against Boris, Sunak in America discussing NHS sell-off and now Frost becomes the latest Brexit minister to resign from the impossible task of making Brexit a success. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Re: General UK politics
Boris now under assault again. After basically his entire cabinet resigned he put some chump as the chancellor and a few hours later even he is telling boris to quit. Some serious popcorn material.
But the way it works, given that he survived a no confidence vote not that long ago, if he wants to stay on he can, right?

As far as i know the only way to break the deadlock is if Boris calls for an snap election which the Tories would lose as the polling suggests.

A much improved place, but that's not our timeline
Looks like Boris is out and even his attempt at being a caretaker is failing. Hope they call a GE

They both would be smeared to death by the corporate controlled right-wing media and fail to achieve anything noteworthy.

Corbyn is a POS, let's not put him in the same bag as Bernie.
