Joe Smith may be privileged in Sunderland.....but Abdullah-Al-Jassim is hell privileged in Jeddah (should Mr. Smith move to Saudi Arabia), and Jay Jay O'Bafang is more privileged in Lagos should all mr. Smith, Al-Jassim abd O'Bafang apply for the same job and opportunity for a job in Lagos, Nigeria.

If all 3 of them live in Nagoya and apply for a job at Toyota, you could bet your ass Hidetoshi Tuksemono is more privileged than all of them and will likely take the job all things equal.

As a Japanese descended person I have my bias against China, but its absurd people can honestly sit here and think a white American would be lucky to come back alive after 1 week in a nation that gave us spaghetti, tea, Fucking paper, and the goldfish. Dont you know most of what we know in this world was either invented by them, or by people trying to find/trade/copy them? There was a reason I mentioned Shenyang (a random city in China - turned out my first example Chengdu is capital of middle China ) and not Shanghai or Beijing or Shenzhen.

Indeed, there are many white people working in those places, those are international hubs and there are many expats there and they are safe.

but if you're a foreigner (WHITE, BLACK, PURPLE, BROWN) in a super Chinese city with little to no exposure to foreigners, then life is VERY hard. You'll be taken for a ride in terms of fraud, discrimination, etc. and not to mention the gangs.

Very interesting that Betty is promiting the idea of pan-Asianism, when in reality most Asians don't like the sight of each other.

I work with Koreans, Chinese and Japanese here...they never have nice things about each other to say .

The Chinese are the most interesting in that aspect, that I was teaching this group of Chinese engineers that had come from a SUPER chinese city (let's say Shenyang), and I wanted to introduce them to European culture. I kid you not, these people were in their 30s, married with kids, and they didn't know who HITLER was!!!

Btw, I’m not 100 percent against Chinese main party. I think they’ve done some incredible things to lift majority of their population from poverty over the last 3 decades. It’s not always been pretty, but they’ve been very efficient and credit when due.

But let’s not pretend all is rosy there. In China, the Chinese and the Chinese Chinese rule and I have no problem with it. Their country!! But let’s no pretend it’s some utopian place super tolerant of stranger cultures, people and ideologies lol.

Its because a person going to Japan knows they are dealing with a defeated people. We cant even have a military ffs. Nobody respects Japanese people. Our movies in the west cant even get Japanese male stars.

When someone goes to China, after stepping off the plane, they immediately come into contact with a nation of over a billion people who not only think they are on the same level as anybody in the world, but in many cases think they are better. Its almost like visiting America.

They have their own soft power.
They have their foreign bases
They have one of, if not the, best militaries the world has ever seen.

I mean I have seen an American serviceman slap the shit out of a man in Yaesu, which is like downtown Tokyo. Nothing happened to this guy at all. People just stood there stunned. Police didnt even do anything. Could you imagine that happening in downtown Beijing. Never in a million years, but thats because they arent as you say cucked.

+1 back because you notice it and dont act like its not happening like many people do. I went back to my grandpa and his girlfriend's house incensed, and even she was like "Who cares"....Its just so engrained into society.

Thats one thing that bothers me with the gf. She is just so passive. I understand being that way out and public and whatnot, but you'd think with your family or someone close you'd have some say. I was at their house last time I was over there. We were sitting in the main room watching some drama, and her sister just came in and turned on baseball. I wasnt really paying attention, but sweets was into it. She didnt even acknowledge her. Then she looks at me and says:

"I wonder how it ends.... "

and Im left to be the bad guy to speak out for a show I wasnt even paying attention to. I think back to my mom and sister when they were kids, or even my own two sisters, and hell would have been raised if they even thought about just walking into a room and switching the station someone else was watching.
