They need that election, imo, this parliament isn't going to agree on anything.

Do you think a general election will change anything?

I don’t. Another referendum would, but that does look like it will happen. If there were 3 parties saying one for staying in EU, one saying leave with a deal and the other saying leave without a deal, then maybe, but again I don’t think that would happen.

The best hope with current numbers is for the opposition to push for a referandum!

Tories and Brexit party will win a GE, no problem. This is just a temporary reprieve on the way to the actual Brexit.

Yes another election is essential as this parliament has run itself to the ground. But the question is, will it make much difference? The new parliament (composition) will be more of less the same with perhaps some more Libs and some less Tory and Labors.

This is the current situation.

Boris desperately wants a General election (which is so he can combine Tories with the brexit party and have a majority again in the government)

But the opposition don't want it anymore because they see his move clearly

Boris can force this through parliament but the issue is....he has asked for the parliament to be suspended so he can't do that anymore lol

What is the profile/potential of the MPs who have crossed floor so far? Is it like rats abandoning the sinking ship? The Change UK seems like a non-starter so the notion of some MPs breaking ranks to bring qualitative change doesn't seem hold.

How do the selection/nomination of candidates work in UK? I think the parties went straight into campaign, so how did they decide who is going run (and from where)? Do you have centralized selection boards or local primaries, please enlighten.

Must say, Sturgeon is a fantastic debater and possibly the best leader UK can offer.

Labour are such a joke with their utopistic promises. It's like they didn't have ideas for an intellectual, sensible manifesto, so they're instead promising every single thing they can think of.

I don't know how realistic the notions of 32-hour week or free WiFi is, but none of the parties is devoid of Utopian promises.

Free broadband is quite realistic. 32 hour week is going to be controversial.

It is, but not every company has 9-5 mon-Fri schedule. You can't make that work with private companies. And you can't make it work with schools either.

I could easily have a 32 hour work schedule most full-time jobs. So many people waste so much time doing nothing at their jobs because "they have to be there"

Not the case every time, but often it is. At least office jobs. Limiting the work period for jobs like that can only be healthy. Humans are not meant to sit for 8+ hours each day in the same position.
