That would have been almost 34 years of full EU membership... Looks like you saved a lot of money due to leaving this costly club...

Obviously they didn't leave for any Economic reasons. They left to stop Muslims coming into their country. That's the truth, anybody could see that leaving a free trade set up is detrimental financially.
Why British weren't successful in integrating this Muslims into main stream soceity ? I don't know but if internet is to be believed there are more radical Muslims in Britain than in India despite India having 1000x Muslims than Britain. Which is well documented from the number of ISIS fighters joined from Britain.

that is pretty close to being spot on. but you cant say that because its classed as racist.Adit wrote:Rwo

Only 1 of these two things can happen (if that) but not both. The EU will require freedom of movement for access to the single market (or basically any favorable deal to the UK in economic terms).

Even in hindsight, and with all the mentally tantric contortions you bend your arguments into, Brexit still is dumb as f*ck, and won't help anyone.
The only people who might see a grain of benefit in this shit sandwich are racists, who at least might hope to see less immigrants.

Re: General UK politics
well, British were pretty racists during Brexit. They used Muslims taking over argument to fuel the fear. I really doubt British would do this cutting off nose to spite the face act aka Brexit if the refugees were from some white European countries.Unique wrote:

Every Muslims are not the same. A Jordanian, iranian, indonesian, turks etc will have no problem assimilating easily into main stream. Britain probably got unlucky with Pakistanis whose nations ideology was based on infamous "two nation theory" which says Muslims and infediles can't co exist in a single nation. It would not be a surprise if they created a parallel nation there.

Ok this is not completely true tbh. A lot of pro-Brexiteers were angry about central and eastern European blue collar laborers (ergo, white) eating into that end of their job market. It was not (entirely) the anti-muslim hysteria.
Off-topic: I also don't endorse the all-Pakistanis-are-evil rhetoric that many Indians like to subscribe to. Pakistan is a far-from-perfect state, but then so is India. However, many citizens on either side of the border fall prey to this hatred that the politicians (and the military establishment in Pakistan) want to propagate. Peace between the countries will never happen as long as it is so easy to rile up passions about the civilians on either side of the border. smh

Re: General UK politics
TBH us brits are not so dumb that you can just tell us Islam is becoming a problem and we will just follow what you say. I mean if someone told us tomorrow that we need to put Chinese people on a watch list because a lot of them are dangerous we are not gonna buy it. First we had brexit then we got trump and as we have seen that some party's in France and Germany that are getting more and more support for the same reasons so that tells you somethingAdit wrote:well, British were pretty racists during Brexit. On his website's blog which he has now deleted,
-He wants to privatise NHS
-Wants a referendum on abortion
-Against banning discrimination against gay people
-Wants to kick out scottish MPs out of house of common
-Denies climate change
http://www.politics.co.uk/blogs/2016/11/28/the-extreme-right-wing-views-of-new-ukip-leader-paul-nuttall
He makes Nigel Farage look like a saint in comparison with his views.

It's interesting though because quite few labour supporters share the same view as Nuttal. And since Labour hates conservatives more than anything, it won't be hugely surprising for labour supporters to vote for UKIP.
Makes the 2020 elections really interesting already. But a long way to go.
