Probable Xl vs. Atalanta: Donnarumma; Abate, Paletta, Romagnoli, Antonelli; Kucka, Bertolacci, Pasalic; Suso, Lapadula, Bonaventura. [Sky]

Anyone impressed with Deulofeu's short appearance? Already better than Niang in my eyes, shame he couldn't get the goal, i can see why people call him a mini CR (minus the ego). @Arq must be ecstatic

yea i was highly impressed, i liked how he ran into spaces, he wasnt just clinging on with defenders waiting for ball. i liked his moment to run in spaces, asking for fellow players to give the ball in spaces where he ran. and thats why he made that timely run that could have led to goal.
seems barca has that thing of running in spaces, and exploiting most of spaces, would be great if we can exploit that. we need deulofeu now, and we need to start performing cuz now fiorentina inter are catching up rapidly with lazio roma maintaining great consistency

Can Ocampos play as striker? We need a player to capitalize on all these crosses.

Re: Serie A Season 16/17
i dont accept that milan loosing this game their own doing, i dont know if anyone saw but de paul came sliding and injured de scligio , lineman was right in front and he didnt do shit!!!
and de scilgio goes out, and within second, de paul scores from de scligio's flank with 10 men on the field!
de paul deserved to be sent off! u cant just come sliding tackle from behind in our defensive line and escape with just yellow, had de paul won that ball fair and square thats de scligio doing but man we lost de sciglio again
Deulofeu was tremendous and he made so many devastating opportunities, that bacca and suso omg how come he missed that ..
anyway, just this game milan lost unfairly, but the point lost is very heavy, atalanta inter fiorentina are comign very very strong...
and we got fiorentina game next .... sigh

Re: Serie A Season 16/17
The referee encouraged diving for fouls and absurd challenges. Udinese were rewarded for a late two footed challenge that should have been a red. Other than that, Kucka and Abate played horrible today, their worst game in a Milan shirt if not ever.

i still dont understand how the hell, that linesman, cmon that dude was like what, 1-2 feet away, and does nothing?
again i agree, this was robbed game ... i can understand milan drawing 1-1 , and they werent exactly playing brightly bar Deulofeu but, we had plenty of chances then, going 2-1 unfairly just made our team unstable.
abate, that guy has been absolutely abysmal for 4-5 games now just terrible.
and bacca cmon! i have seen bacca running in spaces and making timely runs asking ball to be disposed in free area so he can make runs, now all he does is just stick with defender
again this game was more of a robbed game due to unfair challenge by de paul and him scoring with 10 men, than anything. i would rather prefer if we had lost 2-1 with de scligio on the field
that was thug game by de paul ...

at this point thank god both lazio, fiorentina, roma, dropped points ,but inter atalanta won and torino has good chance. milan needs to win fiorentina game at all cost.

As much as i'd like to blame the refs, we have ourselves to blame, we had our chances, we should've taken them. Yeah De Paul should've been sent off, but in the end it all comes down to us.

On the bright side, at least we don't have EL next season? Another fruitless punt at top 3 i guess

Re: Serie A Season 16/17
We are creating chances but are unable to finish them. Montella's system is working but it requires players of higher caliber that can provide consistent performances. If the Chinese deal does go through, then I hope to see reinforcements in the form of centre forward, left winger, central mid, centre back, and wing backs. I think we have the tactics nailed down, we just need the players.

Oh, but he has a huge ego... that's the only thing keeping him away from triumphing big time. (That and a need to improve his end product).

i think he truly can have a similar story to that of suso if he works hard for the team. so far his appearance has been nothing but tremendous, he has been very much involved in every chance in the game he has featured.
i would love to see milan finding some kind of mutual agreement to buy him from Barcelona and sell niang.

Re: Serie A Season 16/17
Montella=great, doing the best with what he's got, took him time to figure it out in the beginning but eventually did well.
Season=write off since the summer, our fate was sealed after that horrible window, this isn't a team that can finish top 3, even top 6 might be tough had Inter not struggled so much in the beginning of the campaign.
Not sure whats gonna happen come this summer, but signs point to yet another depressing window

I agree . Montella has done well . I think this season we have done very well , given what we have available , of course. We even won the super cup , which is nice. About finishing in the top 3 , sadly it was always out of our reach like you said. But top 6 .. i think it is. I think we will definitely finish between 4th-6th , i have no doubts this season. We just have what it takes to get into the Europa League , and tbh that's all i care about for the moment.
As for the coming summer .. yeah , we can't but wait and see what's to happen with 'the closing'. Not sure what to think of this whole sale , many times over i think it's all a fraud , then again i remember Fassone and Mirabeli are actually actively working for them so far , doing things , e.t.c . And then there's Berlusconi supposedly 'assured' about the Chinese' being legit. Not sure what to think. Like you , not that confident about the summer , even though i believe we have made real progress under Montella , so next season should be interesting nonetheless.
All in all , i want Europa League , Donnarumma renewal , Montella stays and to buy Deulofeu . Whatever happens with the sale , let it come , i care more about the pitch side of things before the sale , as of now at least
