Owners =/= to the club btw
Edit: We were also the first club to call it out through players and manager since only we played the same night ffs, everyone else enjoyed the PR planning on how to play the mistake out. GTFO

Which is why FSG OUT, imagine agreeing to something without asking the players and managers.
ESL will happen in the future, football will change, it is inevitable but the future is not now just because 2 clubs are salty that they can't afford to sign Mbappe.
Suffer alongside us like mortals Real and Barca Fans, we are desperately trying to recuperate Konate money rn if you want to join us in depression of not being able to compete unless players sold.

Mbappe was a loan deal with option to buy. Monaco lent him to PSG for 1 year and then sold him the summer after. Monaco did PSG and Ligue 1 a very very big solid by allowing this structure and deferring the fee.

Well we've been mortal since 2019.. the summer with Hazard and Mendy was the last time we made any significant additions to the club which required a transfer fee. We really cannot afford new signings or high contracts which is not something we are used to.
Ill also add that at least Real is somewhat stable compared to Barcelona, but doesn't mean everything is all sunshine and rainbows.
Honestly I didnt take this whole ESL thing seriously and I still don't. Im just surprised Perez didnt see the PR backlash and it was pathetic to see fans defend UEFA like they are worthy of such defense. I don't think we need a new competition with new rules we just more strict financial regulation by UEFA but they are in bed with the rich clubs, so it won't ever happen.
Real and Barca do not have owners so we have to rely on our, i guess you can say old school type of business model. In the future, either Real will get with the times and sell to an owner/business/country or UEFA actually starts cracking down on the rich clubs

Re: The European Super League Megathread
The money that built both clubs wasn't at all without controversy.
This is just the latest time they got caught. Keep in mind there is no incentive in Spain to bring this to light because it's to Spain's benefit. It takes the European Commission or another independent watchdog to shed light... and they have bigger fish to fry and, frankly, only care if there's a political benefit. Been going on since the beginning of time with these two and still ongoing:

Something to reduce operating cost
You see players going for ridiculous fees. Lukaku 100 millions, De Paul 50 millions, Locatelli 40 millions. What the hell. How can you expect to make profit when ensuring the quality of your team costs so much money.

If this were to happen, it actually proves again that football is the greatest sport there is.
I think Sheriff beating Real Madrid in Madrid is a great story. Their team cost pay 100k at most... Madrid 1 billion. And yet.
If you can't understand the beauty of this, I don't know what to say.

Laporta: “We are still involved with the Super League. We are winning in each of the judicial proceedings that have been initiated, after having won the one’s that were resolved. We are now expecting a judgement from the European court by the end of this year."
