Re: Champions League 2016-17 | Group H
Juve with an incredibly lucky draw.
Zagreb were literally the worst team we've played in CL in the last decade, Sevilla's a joke now too with the new manager, and
Lyon are not exactly fear inducing.

I can see Sevilla finishing third again.
Other than Juve it's tough to predict who'll go through. You can see Lyon and Sevilla trading wins, and both beating Zagreb twice. Guess it'll come down to who can pick up something against Juve.

We should finally top a group now. Absolutely can't get more clear cut than this.

Quite a few scrub groups this year, we more or less got one. No excuses, should be easy.

Neither Lyon nor Sevilla are easy... beware. Both are competitive teams.
For Lyon, Lacazette is on fire and Fekir is starting to find his top level (got called to NT). Add Valbuena, Tolisso, Gonalons, Rafael, Nkoulou, Mbiwa, Lopez, Gonalons, Cornier, Grenier, Ferri, etc. They really have a solid squad and no contract drama other than Ghezzal.
Only thing is they got absolutely trashed by PSG in the supercup... but it's the supercup. First two league games were very one sided in Lyon's favor.

Good draw. We have to win the group, the team is in so much better shape than last year at this point.

Lichtsteiner left out of Juve's CL team. May be he did offer himself to Inter

Juve is stacked, maybe it is a psychological move that will allow Allegri to use Lichtsteiner more frequently in league games without getting too many complaints from Alves, Cuadrado (and probably other right wing/backs) who know they are being saved for CL.

Honestly thought Pjaca would be a starter. But I don't think he fits in 3-5-2.

Wouldn't be surprised if Juve move away from the 352 in the CL tbh, really don't think it's a good system in the CL which is why i felt like it was a good idea to move away from it to begin with when Allegri first joined.

That Juventus B team looks stronger than most of the teams currently in the CL group stage.

Pjaca is too young and new to be a starter for us in any system

Re: Champions League 2016-17 | Group H
Think we'll go to a 4-3-2-1 type deal when Barzagli retires, Dybala - Pjaca behind Higgers
Assuming Pjaca keeps developing. Wouldn't mind loaning him out to see what he can do, he'd start all day long at prime Sassuolo.

Lichtsteiner is currently on the last year of his contract which will not be renewed in June 2017. This summer, after the arrival of Alves, the swissman wanted to leave for Inter where he could be a starter.
Now i believe Juve does not want him to leave for free nor to leave for Inter. So they took him out of their 22 man list, expecting that an other club will bid for him in January... it will be more appealing for some clubs who need reinforcements for the Champions League

Sevilla team to play Juventus:
Rico; Mercado, Rami, Pareja, Escudero; Vitolo, N'Zonzi, Iborra, Kranevitter, Sarabia; Vazquez
Three DMs and no recognised centre forward. Sampaoli with a very Emery line-up there.

He was dropped as a punishment for asking to move to inter. We'll get him for free in the summer

So we'll sign Darmian and Inter will recycle our 33 years old backup RB ? Fair enough for me
