Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 2
holy shit
City have played Stoke, Sunderland (two piss poor teams) and now a West Ham that lost to some no name team from Romania or somewhere midweek (I should know exactly where since they are fellow Europe League lads ffs)
Pep fanboys, pls calm yourselves.
They look good but we'll know just how good in a couple months when the fixtures start to get tougher

Liverpool's spending for the last 5 or 6 years can't be too different can it? Only difference is that you guys consistently finish in 6th/7th/8th and lose cup finals

How many players are WH missing ?!
And why in the world are they stockpiling CFs when their defense now with Cresswell being out with injury is looking utter shambles.

Stones is so good at pausing with the ball just long enough to get one of the opposing strikers to run towards him. He's then able to pass the ball to the open player (the player the opposing striker was formerly covering).

@Cas, I agree. I think that after the initial overrating of Stones, he became kind of underrated last season because people pinned Everton's bad defense on him all too often. Does Stones need to improve the defensive side of his game? Yes. Was he himself 100% at fault for some goals--definitely (Martial vs Everton comes to mind). However, I don't think he's as bad as many made him out to be. He's a fine defender with room for improvement. The other aspects of his game have been well documented and you point out one positive facet.
I'm looking forward to watching more of him under Pep.

They only do it because the criticism and ridiculousness of Pep has met his match in a real league. He'll need to drastically change the team to have success.
It was all completely ridiculous to begin with as I was telling you at the time. No one would be saying a thing if the anti Pep comments didn't come first.
So blame yourself for your own ridiculous City are average comments

Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 2
pretty sure I said City wouldn't walk the league (like some ppl have been saying) with the players they have, which I stand by. Nobody will be walking the league this season.
Also haven't hyped our performances at all. I know we've played crap teams and haven't looked amazing. Just comfortable.

LOL missing the core of the team and making the game look like a training play bearing in mind Pellegrini's City lost 0-2 vs WH last season at Etihad...
I know you're pissing your pants with Manchester derby coming closer

Calma pretty much no one other than a select few didn't think they'd win the league. Pretty much everyone was drinking the PL is competitive koolaid.
Although isn't about Pep more so the ridiculousness of Pep fanboys apparently going mad when they were only reacting to the haters ridiculous pre season claims.
I mean pretty much everyone didn't think they would win it on here lol(even Cas smh disappointed tbh) did you expect them to react any different?
Although I can't wait for GL to call them a great team when they started the season they wasn't good enough
