i think there is no problem with this mid
because you have wingers who can add the missing energy in the center

but the lineback i believe there must be three cb's

if not a cb there has to be one really good when defends like thuram, poyol,

a player who can do both sb and cb

but even that,  evra can do that kind of a role he did it before

so i think that form, has all players you need

even though a long ball, in counter attack may cause problems that is why coach likes bbc variation

What I would consider to be most inportant in football are the strikers and for that we have a magical pair which is higuain and dybala

The second thing I would say playmakers which wr have dybala and pjanic that I believe to be talented and capable to lead the team winning a lot, however, to do playmaker role experience is necessary and I think our guys need a little more time to get to know with juventus approach,

We have talented players on the wing: sandro, cuadrado, alves

We have players who can add energy in the center like lemina, sturaro, asamoah and now Marchisio back

I would not surrender too easy on these guys and go for matuidi kind of player

witsel transfer I would say Iis necessary to substitute khedira, the guy is talented but because his injury problems I dont think he is trustworthy,

All I can say is we have a really good team,

We are also lucky to have rugani and benatia to make sure of bbc injury problems

We are just perfect

Now all we can think about making a great team even better
To do that we need more versitile players,

Instead of substituting a guy like mandzukic with a guy like lorente , we should look for more versatile options, players who add more than just his priority

We should search for a side back who can do more roles than a side back, cb, sb, dm, sm

But Cb, dm, cm like mascherano,

But this means we have to stand alert on the market on extreme talented players,

The bbc variation is a good one because it makes sure to block the headers, and so far it has worked perfectly,

But now players getting old and I think it is a good chance to make a good 4 men lineback

A problem is that if you substitute a guy like barzagli for alves you are not compensating for the strength you may need inside the box

Barzagli should be substituted with a guy who can play cb + sb like ramos, abidal, Poyol, thuram, cafu,

These are guys who worked as sidebacks + centerbacks

I remember melberg, zebina

So you have a rb for example thuram


Sandro - chiellini - bonuci - thuram

And this guy could attack really good on the wing, but he was a cb naturaly

That is better variation than bbc + two wing backs

Because you have something more versatile that can create different shapes in defense, 4 men or 3 men however you need

Also bravo to Allegri for finally playing Pjaca and Curadrado with Dybala, I knew he was keeping something up in his sleeve and was testing something. Great great game except from Evra he is declining so far, but I think he can be good as LCB

About hernanes I never really rated him pirlo level, but having him for bench option I just think its really good, coach ahould have played him more, when marchisio needed a rest,

But now we have dybala ans pjanic, its two playmakers, and I dont really feel like adding hernanes as well to make it 3x playmakers, but on this game it kinda was a good decision

Allegri basically tried everything in this match. The thing is that the game was buried in the first half, so I don't put too much weight on the second half performances. In that sense Pjanic is my MOTM. In the whole then its Hernanes since Pjanic had to come off.

Pjanic beasted that first half.

Cuadrado at CM for those first 20 minutes of the second half was weird, don't know how well it would work against a better team, but it was fun to see. Then the 4-4-2 (or 4-2-3-1, its the same thing since Dybala just decides what to do) was good too. Pjaca looked good.

I like the 442 variarion tried on the last minutes ,

2x playmakers; dybala, hernanes/pjanic
2x men for the headers; higuain/mandzukic, khedira
2x wide midfielders who can also compensate for the energy in the center
2x side backs who can also compensate for barzagli absence


I have no problem whatsoever formation we play I just think we need to compensate for everything that is missing ,

442 formation has always been my favorite because of versatile wingers who can switch positions, and it is also really good for counter attacks as the wingers like cuadrado and pjaca can run with the ball and I think its really good for ucl

But serie a, is too much focused on the headers, long balls

Serie a is a long ball spammer

You play against someone like inter, napoli, milan
What they will be looking for is defending too hard, and attacking with long balls, guys like icardi, bacca, milik

If you dont addapt to the game with bbc variation, guys like khedira, mandzukic, higuain , you may face consequences as you cannot play tiki taka against such a deep opponent, so tight pockets

You can say it doesnt have a guy, gattuso like to add energy in the center , but the wingers can compensate for that


But 4 men in the back? It usually is build with a side back cafu like who can compensate for third center back, but this can also be acconplished with a guy like khedira, witsel, by playing them on the deep, however, you still do not have that kind of a guy who can go forwards for the headers, but with pjaca? This is possible because he cuts inside the box, ronaldo like, so you still have two guys there

It is great that Allegri is slowly slowly trying to switch to a back four. It is great now that we only have the BBC available so that we could play with 2 CBs and the 3rd will be a back up. I think that we will try 442 or 433 against Empoli.

Regarding Pjaca, I still think he needs some time to grow, because he hasn't shown what he can do as soon as he came just like Morata. Pjaca will explode at some point though.

I think we'll play 3-5-2 again over the weekend, if not BBC, then Litch or Evra at CB. I don't think Allegri will wanna risk losing momentum with experimenting. We've won 3 matches in a row with 3 clean sheets, I think he'll wanna get the team firing a bit longer before any changes.

I read about matuidi I honestly think we need both matuidi and witsel on january, one for the energy one for the headers , considering khedira is injury player

On this formation you have two playmakers which is dybala andpjanic, you have matuidi a versatile player who can go for headers, who can add energy gattuso like, and do the dirty work, and you have witsel for the headers, vieira like,
And you have two wingers, cuadrado and sandro blocking the long balls, and approaching forwards as side strikers, you also have three cb to block the headers,

No need for both imo

Marchisio is a world class player and he will be a starter no matter what. This leaves only one spot that "new CM"-Khedira-Lemina will challenge for.

The Witsel deal is pretty much sealed anyway. Zenith just need to find someone to replace him, and then he will join Juve. Looking at the odds i'd say he will be here this winter. Hernanes or Asamoah (but most likely Hernanes due to his salary) will then be sold so we won't have an extra man in the squad.
