DFL-Supercup 2016: Borussia Dortmund vs FC Bayern

This years edition of the Supercup, either the last glorified friendly of preseason or the first proper competitive game and title of the season, depending on who wins.
Since BVB came second in the league and lost the cup final against us, they get to play at home.
It's like teams from lower than 3rd division always get to play at home in the cup.
Out of mercy.
Tuchel said before the game that he "could do without it". Be that as it may, it'll be interesting to see the first match up against Tuchel's completely transformed 2016/17 Dortmund side.

Are you treating this match the way top teams in England treat the Carling Cup or whoever is sponsoring it these days. When you get knocked out scream from the rooftops how the trophy doesn't matter and it is unimportant and then if you win tell the world how amazing the trophy is and those who didn't win it are just jealous?

Well Dortmund certainly are English media darlings. The yellow wall they have, the success they had with Klopp, the horrible season they faced that he turned around and ended up not being too bad in the end. Their ventures in Europe, all this added to really help Dortmund find a few more fans or at least casual onlookers from the UK. I too hope they win today.

When we played the CL final in London, there were about 497k people who applied to BVB for the ticket (I think there was 40k or something available). The population of Dortmund as a town is 500k inhabitants.
The club runs on passion. That's a large part of why I love them. There is more BVB stuff in my apartment than Arsenal stuff these days.

Wow that is a crazy amount of ticket requests. Yeah it's hard not to enjoy Dortmund, the way the club is run, the fans and of course the plucky underdog story of winning titles and getting to a CL final. Great story all round for them.

Tuchel's BVB are an absolutely awesome team.
Awesome football full of pace, passing, intensity, discipline, and spectacle.
Tough to play, great to watch.
Wasn't different last season. It's not for nothing they were the best 2nd place team ever in BuLi history.
As for us, well let's take it easy. Our players are doing that too, after all
