Re: US Presidential Race
It's not ignorance though. I disagree completely with that assertion.
It's an expression of dissatisfaction with the status quo. People are tired of both of these parties conning them into shit that simply won't happen, just to keep their own hold on power. There's absolutely nothing wrong with trying to break that cycle.

I agree with this so much. Your vote is supposed to be a way of voicing your opinion and if you happen to have an opinion that is not very popular... then should you simply forgo it, because it's not popular.
I wish all democratic countries would introduce a law that puts a "none of the above" option on the ballots.

They need equal air time on the media and people need more widespread knowledge on their policies. Which will never happen
Again, idealism is not reality. Go vote third party and lie to yourself I guess, that's not on me

Re: US Presidential Race
You're absolutely right it's not on you. If I do vote 3rd party, it won't be out of some misguided sense of guilt. It will be of my own volition and with complete recognition of what might just happen. I know myself well enough to know that this is being true to myself, not the opposite of that.
To be frank, if Hillary or Trump end up losing, 3rd party voters are the last group they should be blaming.

I definitely won't blame third party voters though. Hillary is not exceptional by any means and trump is just a clown duped up on drugs

That helps nothing, it basically exists already and is the people who don't vote.
U.S. absolutely needs more political parties than just the two, though, so voting for third parties is the right thing to do if one isn't satisfied with the Republicans or the Democrats. More parties = more options = better representation of the people = better democracy.

Re: US Presidential Race
I feel like people that don't vote are generally looked as lazy people who are just not interested in participating in the Democratic process. Maybe a (small) portion of those are not voting because they don't see any viable candidates but largely it's people that don't care / are too lazy to go out and vote on election day.

Re: US Presidential Race
They are ridiculously lazy. Okay I don't agree voting third party, but I will say this; you're a voting citizen so it's something to respect. People who say "aw *bleep* politics" are just people who couldn't give two shits about this country because mommy and daddy are paying for everything

They sound so reasonable compared to Trump/Clinton. Weld should be heading the ticket, can you imagine how much ass he could kick in the VP debate against the 2 nobodies chosen?

Re: US Presidential Race
My guess is that Johnson will take over the republican ballot if they want to save face. Otherwise trump will get destroyed.
I've said I'm not a fan of Johnson but I will say this, after seeing Bernies face at the DNC.. I don't know. Somethings up.

Dear old Clint lost all credibility when he talked to a damn empty chair the last time around. Legendary actor and director....senile political hack.

Yeah too bad Eastwood got senile, though frankly, off-camera he never seemed all that bright, not even 20 odd years ago.

I was surprised by how high I scored on Stein, maybe I should do some actual research on the Green Party? My pre-conceived notion is that she is a female version of Bernie without any actual experience in public service. Doesn't seem too appealing.

94% Clinton & Stein
59% Johnson
8% Trump
I was far left wing on the spectrum. Understandable. Every Scandinavian must be. Not really any variety in how much it should be.
Free healthcare and education = far left wing. So happy that's a normality here. We get paid to go to school.

Re: US Presidential Race
100% Stein, 99% Clinton
But I didn't answer every question.
Most of the questions are like in bad videogames really where you always know which one is the good and which one is the bad option
Just that it's real life and people actually choose the bad option.

But I didn't answer every question.

Clinton now has a 15% lead over Trump
Clinton doesn't just need to win, she needs to win so bad that Trump's hateful ideas become buried forever
"More encouraging for Clinton, 57 percent of her backers say their vote is for her, while 40 percent say it’s largely an anti-Trump vote."
"Most of Trump’s backers – 57 percent – say their vote is against Clinton, while only 36 percent called it a pro-Trump decision."
The American 2 party system is so ****ed that most people end up voting against someone instead of for someone smh
