Messi has broken the game of football. Free kicks for him are basically goals

If only he could break penalties
Not sure what happened, up until 5 years ago or so he was great at them

He had a brilliant game against Atleti today. One of his best seasons ever.

Took time to drag everyone to the middle where the keeper was also standing and then slotted it to the left post. Superb! Hope him and Suarez keep their form the time it matters most.

Some of his runs today reminded me young Messi. Takes the ball and goes to score by himself. Created two amazing chance for Alba and Suarez, and three chances for himself

Top player. Shame he plays in the same Era as Ronaldo if not he would have been considered the best Ever.

Sir Alex Ferguson - "The Messi I saw 10 years ago was on verge of being the best, the Messi I saw today is already the greatest ever."

The first goal is so awesome. The frauds are calling it a gift from their defense ignoring the beauty of that inch-perfect placement from that tough angle.

Re: The Lionel Messi Appreciation Thread & Fan Club III
Did Fergie really say about after the game? If so thats good, since I remember he used to say CR is the best, possibly has his reasons, but we all know Messi is the best and he admits it.
Yep the first goal was all about his ability, he even paused for a moment to see if other players were going for the ball and everyone else just seem slow compared to him, he won that ball, through the legs of Fred, and then placed that ball into the far corner, hardly any other play on this planet can do that.

His decline is quite obvious from that figure, but he's still a step about everyone else.
Re: The Lionel Messi Appreciation Thread & Fan Club III
The worst part about being a Madrid fan is that I cant fully appreciate his performances because I despise that shite club he plays for. And then when I am able to appreciate him on Argentina hes complete ass. It's a sick joke I tell you

There's still probably 7 months of the year to go lol, he'll probably get beyond 50 by December.

Re: The Lionel Messi Appreciation Thread & Fan Club III
I am not the biggest Messi fan. Barca fans would call me a hater. That being said.
Tonight was a performance for the ages. An all time all time performance. As good a dribbling performance as I have seen. Makes it more special that he was dribbling elite players every time he got the ball. Robertson, Fabinho and VVD are some of the best in their position and he made them look like complete mugs. Passed well, created chances with his passing. An all time great freekick. Great motivation as a captain and never stopped running. As I said, a performance for the ages. And when he plays like that, he is an unstoppable force of nature.

Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh to Muslim
& Good day to the rest
Messi's goals vs English Big Teams
despite:
1) not played as pure striker
2) not played at EPL at all
Chelsea = 3
Arsenal = 9
Manchester City = 6
Manchester United = 4
Tottenham = 2
Liverpool = 2
Total = 26

It's the day where us Messians bring back the church at the centre of the village, Kommander's statues are being cut down, it's a cathartic moment of truth and justice.
