Ribery: Pep lacks experience
“Guardiola is a young coach with a lack of experience,”
“You can’t commit errors in the semi-final of the Champions League. Thomas Müller didn’t play from the start and Jerome Boetang, having recovered from the injury he suffered, also wasn’t picked and had to watch the game from the stands,”
“I feel confident again under Ancelotti.
“I need people like him, Jupp Heynckes and Ottmar Hitzfeld,” he said, highlighting that he felt “liberated and completely motivated” after Guardiola’s departure

Ribery had his quietest years thus far under Pep, needs to look in the mirror and realize he's past it instead of taking shots at Pep for his decline

No wonder, i mean the guy is contemplating using Fernandinho as a CB, i'm just waiting for the culture shock once he's down 2-0 at Goodison park.

Re: Ribery: Pep lacks experience
Boateng is one of Pep's favorite players and one of Bayern's most important. If you think Pep wouldn't have played him if he was fit enough to play in a CL semis at the Calderon, then you aren't worth arguing with.
Also, playing a 4-2-4 against Atletico at the Calderon would have been very stupid. 4 energetic midfielders against Vidal and Alonso won't work when you're facing a pressing team. Mueller is useless on the RW, so really it was between him and Lewa.
At the end of the day, Bayern created the chances to WIN in the 2nd leg, but it just wasn't their day. Any other day they probably would have beat them 4-0, but luck was against them.
Apart from the 10-15 minutes in which Atletico moved from a 4-4-2 to a 4-5-1, and
Bayern hadn't yet adapted to the switch, it was a total domination. One of the best performances in recent memory.

Re: Ribery: Pep lacks experience
Ribery was just mad Pep took his pizza away.
Anyway, hope the little diva can give us one last world class season now that he's feeling the love again
He looks fit and in form, and a fit and in form Ribery is up there with the best of them.

Re: Ribery: Pep lacks experience
Lol I know it's preseason and all, but he looked really sharp against City. It was hard to believe that a 33 yr old winger with a long injury history looked that quick.

He's had too many injuries I'm afraid, doubt he'll ever look good again sadly and how he looks in pre season doesn't mean much imo.

@Cruijff
It's in various German sources, from the tabloid with the big 4 letters to sport1.de and welt.de.

Franck Ribéry is one of those players who need to be pampered by their coaches. As soon as he feels sufficiently loved, he explodes on the pitch. Alongside Pep he withered like a delicate flower, but now he seems to be back again ^^Firenze wrote:Ribery had his quietest years thus far under Pep, needs to look in the mirror and realize he's past it instead of taking shots at Pep for his decline

Actually he simply was injured all the time. Don't think Pep pampering him more would have changed anything about that.

But he would have spoken better of Pep then, I'm convinced.

Re: Ribery: Pep lacks experience
He spoke well of Pep when Pep was there, now that there's a new coach first thing Ribéry does is to suck up to him.
He always does that, like when he dedicated his goal against Chelsea in the Eurpean Supercup 2013 to Pep and said that it was to support Pep against his nemesis Mourinho

oh sure, there's absolutely no need for any of that, but Ribéry can be quite a little prick.

Re: Ribery: Pep lacks experience
It seems players with big egos and the ones who need to be pampered seem to have a problem with Pep the most.
I remember hearing that in Pep Confidential book, that Pep could go in great length talking about tactics and football to Lahm and Robben, but with Ribery he had to simplify things because he wasn't able to keep up.

Re: Ribery: Pep lacks experience
The Pep Confidential book however also claims Ribéry stumbled to Pep on the first league champion party and told him he loved him, and the next day Pep was in awe of Ribéry's post party training professionalism.
That book cannot be taken seriously.

Thomas Muller not being picked from the start should have stayed that way since he sold guns big time in the 2nd leg. You know, since he started.

Re: Ribery: Pep lacks experience
One of the most cowardly things you could do as a professional player, or a human being even. If you had felt you were being treated unfairly, you should've talked to him about it while he was still in charge of Bayern.
This shameful act is reminiscent of how corrupt noblemen and politicians behave around presidents and kings. They bow until their noses graze the ground during his reign, but then when he gets replaced by somebody else, they suddenly "find" the courage to criticize him, all while kissing the behind of the new king.
The king is dead, long live the king.

Re: Ribery: Pep lacks experience
Well Ribery should be ashamed of himself, instead of apologizing for his glass ass broken all the time leading to Pep manage without him and Robben for majority of his tenure this snake is blaming it on manager. " Am feeling good again" well good for you, lets see if you can manage to play two games in row this season, Mr.Bigmouth.

Such a diva... although Ribery is just learning to speak in a way people can understand anyhow. He never mastered French. Maybe he's having the same trouble in German.

Something tells me that these quotes were either taken out of context, or completely fabricated. Typical tabloid stuff.

Re: Ribery: Pep lacks experience
He's right though. Guardiola is a young naive coach who thinks every team will bend to his style of play. The coaches he mentioned have a lot more variety and experience to their game and can adapt to the opposition at the highest level, which Pep struggles to do. Can't fault him or any other Bayern player who is frustrated at the lack of success in Europe, when they were so successful before Pep's arrival.

Except he changed his style of play lol.
You really need to open your eyes if you think how Bayern played last season is the same is how his team played at Barca.
Also what success in Europe? they won it once, stop acting like Bayern won it every year before Pep ruined it all lol. Not like he struggled either, they got to the semi final every year and that wouldn't be considered a " lack of success " normally.
