EURO 2016 France - R16 - Hungary vs Belgium

Hungary topped their group unbeaten after getting back to the Euros after 44 years.

Probably played the best game of the tournament so far against Portugal, one of the most entertaining for sure.

Interestingly, the whole squad has been utilized in the three matches (except goalies), Storck has constantly rotated the first XI as well as the subs.

Against Portugal, the rotation was even more intense, Kleinheisler, probably the best player since Storck took over (discovered and selected by him), was also rested among others.

As a reward, the opponent is Belgium, one of the best this year.

They can do it but imo Belgium's stars aka Hazard, KDB , Lukaku and Raja Ninja are going to up their game. If the coach is smart enough to start Moussa Dembélé Hungary is going to find it difficult.

There really is a lack of chemistry in Belgium's team. Hazard, De Bruyne and Lukaku look like they've never played with each other.

Hungary are still in this.

Dzudzsak should have done more with his career. He is carrying these semi-pro scrubs alone.

Hungary are working the ball into promising situations but just can't produce a decent final ball.

Hazard has had a fantastic game. Deserved that.

Really enjoyed watching Hungary. Their attractive playing reminded me of why football became the most popular sport in the first place, and it's decline due to overly conservative measures teams employ in modern football.

Hazard, we all know that he's a great player, but he was simply given too much space to do whatever he wanted to do. There's a reason why he can't reproduce such performances in EPL with two lines of defence locking him every match.

Because its supposed to showcase the best talent in Europe, and outside of sucking last season he clearly fits the bill.

No it's supposed to showcase the best teams in the world, as in 11 guys that work together with coordination to produce the best football possible, in offense and in defense.

I recall Hazard losing Filipe Luis on marking twice when Atletico kicked them out of the CL at home. He has done nothing at all, i certainly have never seen that supposed "talent" in CL. preaseason summer football? yes. Swansea? yes.

Again, his best ever game in a major tourney, 1st goal after 700 min, against hungary lol and the overrating begins.

Such harshness towards Hungary. I think the scoreline wasn't kind to them, but at least they tried to come out and play. Got into great positions, but couldn't finish. Despite the scoreline, I think Hungary acquitted themselves better than either of Croatia or Portugal.

Belgium, despite being a team yet to find true unity, has the quality to punish the mistakes they force opponents into. This isn't a surprise.

If people have watched Belgium, Hazard has played well this entire tournament not just this game.
