Football won today

Spain learnt nothing from the World Cup fiasco. The same mistakes. Can't break down a defence with their slow attack and their midfield gets completely run over off the ball. Italy good value for their victory.

Nolito was more useless than Fabregas to be fair.

You can't really expect Spain to keep dominating. They've won a world cup and two euros back to back. That generation comes once in a lifetime, and I think they've made the best use out of it.

It's time they move aside and let another nation take over. However, I don't expect their successor to dominate as much as they did.

The WC win was 40% ref decisions though.

i don't think we can classify fabregas as a fraud, the hype about cesc ended years ago when he left arsenal. by the time that little barcelona experience ended, the noise about him quietened. pedro on the other hand, remember when someone here said he was as good/better than stoichkov? lol and when you call these statements outlandish, they'll say you're being nostalgic or living in the past. Vicente del Bosque still uses the same tactics that Barca used 6 years ago. It's like watching Barca 10/11, only with Fabregas instead of Xavi, Juanfran instead of Alves and Nolito and Morata instead of Messi and Villa. So basically you end up with a big pile of shite.

You did say Spain ain't winning shit with Fabregas in the midfield. Go figure you're correct

You guys! Simply put, we lost to a superior team. Sure there are faults, but this Italian team was a non contender to most of you and yet they have shown they are just as good, without the big names, as the Italian teams of old.

Similarly we were overrated, including by myself. Del Bosque did try to change tactics for this tournament with slightly more direct play and carrying 2 strikers and 3 wingers. But he never has figured out how to break down three CBs.

Spain have been frauds since 2009 imho.
