If you actually pay the right price for once he's more than available.
I had not thought of that, actually
It all depends on Zidane and if he has plans for him, though.
If not... Wenger, use zat French influence and talk up Zidane, le ole frere.
I think practically every scenario of Morata joining a PL club involved him getting bought back by Real first so real can get their hands on the fee exceeding the 30m€ buyback clause.
That was always the first thing going to happen, they were never going to just waive some 10-20-.. free millions.
So yes, Real buying him back doesn't mean he's not going elsewhere still.
Still think they'll keep in to rot on the bench as happened before, and then he'll leave again next year

Apparently, the janitor of the away team locker room is looking to retire. They're looking for a suitable apprentice to take over the scrubbing and cleaning duties.

Why would you want to sign Milik. Who cares about Milik.

Two fantastic successive seasons in the Championship for Toral. This will be the biggest indicator of whether he has a future at Arsenal, though, or how much we sell him to Real Betis for next season.

That's more encouraging, I guess.
But lol @ the fact that he could opt to stay at Lyon now that they're in the Champions League. Don't feel like getting Vardy'd twice in one window.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Having watched him quite a lot. 34 is a bit excessive but Lyon won't sell him for anything less. I guess we are desperate at this point as there is no one else either
Lacazette is a good goalscorer who is tricky and actually physical. But he has a habit of disappearing. We'll probably offer him better service so maybe it won't be as bad.
He can play with Giroud as well so there is that.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
If he has a release clause like that why did West Ham pull out when £31mil was rejected? Something's not right there unless it's one of those "only for CL clubs" things... but then Aulas has been asking for 40mil plus.
Anyway, article says Wenger is assessing other options. There aren't many other options to asses lol. And we really shouldn't be assessing at this stage.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Anyway, people complaining about lack of rumours, here you go:
Telegraph has linked us with Neven Subotic, like it's 2009. Lacazette links are from them, too.
France Football reckons we could be one of the few clubs willing to shell out £50mil for Draxler, like it's 2013.
France Football also say we're in a good position to give a good offer for Morata, but this feels like recycled news.
The Sun says we're in for Lukaku.
Basically any remaining "available" centre forward has been linked with in the great transfer roulette. One of these will stick, right?
Oh, and apparently we've offered some Dutch keeper a two week trial.

Btw reading that release clauses aren't enforceable in France so that Telegraph story is clearly bs.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
The way I prefer to look at it is this. Giroud & Welbeck are the two main center forward options. I believe Welbeck might still have a good future with Arsenal but this season, more or less, he's out. So who is attainable that will not only fill in for Welbeck and improve the squad NOW, but is also might contribute over the next few years? We want to get someone who's good and experienced, but has shelf life ... not too young or too old. I think next summer the club will have to look at 30-year-old Giroud and see if he's worth hanging on to as a striking option, or look at Welbeck and see if he represents a realistic hope. Then sell one of them, probably.
(Theo is the wildcard but belief in him to establish consistency in the attack dwindles continuously. I guess it's not impossible that somehow he'll have the best season of his life in 2016-2017 though.)
In the meantime, guys like Lacazette or Vardy or Slimani look like the general range of player we have available, good players who won't come cheap but will probably do well enough. We may have to content ourselves with that, unless some unexpected things happen in the market that open new possibilities in Arsenal's favor.
Also btw I support the unlikely Draxler signing. I kind of gave up hope in him a year or two ago but his Euro performances have been sharp and it's rekindled the love.

Marca | Real Madrid have set a value for Morata, €75m. Chelsea have entered advanced negotiations to secure his signature.

Morata price quotes getting ridiculous
I think Diego Costa is a real piece of ... work, but to answer that hypothetical question, if Arsenal were to sign him I'd definitely find a way to contort my mind and my ethics to support him in red & white.
Is Robson-Kanu still available on a free?

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Here's some Internet Bullshit Artist twitter stuff for you:
Arsenal had all their eggs in the Vardy basket. Were convinced he was going to join. No plan B.
Arsenal are looking for a striker but number of targets dwindling.
I 100% believe this because having no plan b in the transfer market is absolutely an Arsenal thing to do.
