Koulibaly is reportedly going to sign a new deal with Napoli, he used us as bait to get it ffs Laughing

Latest reports suggest we're going after De Vrij, who could cost around 15m Pounds.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelsea-target-transfer-stefan-de-8479642

When Hummels, Benatia, Umtiti, Koulibaly, Bonucci, Manolas, Rudiger and likely Mustafi are not available, we can do worse than De Vrij. But we should make the deal quickly if that is who we're after.

There isn't many better options available, sadly.

Koulibaly's agent has been doing some talking on a radio. It's either good news for us or he is baiting Napoli into an even bigger contract.

http://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/napoli-agent-of-koulibaly-he-wants-to-leave-chelsea-are-interest-509063

“I was in Dimaro on Saturday and we discussed a contract renewal however, we are not at the point of reaching an agreement. The desire of the player is to leave the club, not renew”

We are told by the club that he is a great player but from the renewal on offer, we don’t see this”.

“Last year they wanted to sell him stating he was not focused enough but then last season he has shown all his quality. To the fans I say stay calm because he won’t be joining Juventus, Chelsea and Everton are still interested as they are both searching for a central defender of his quality”.

I'd still love to get him, but I feel he must force a move if he really wants to leave.

Conte has said that Matic is not for sale:

He [Matic] is not for sale and I know with work he can become a fantastic midfielder, one of the best in the world.

Jeffrey Bruma has said we were interested in bringing him back to Stamford Bridge before he moved to Wolfsburg.

I don't even know who I want for a CB anymore now, I'd like Stones but £50M is just crazy.

Man City getting him will be even worse too, please no for the love god don't go to City.

Well, I think Koulibaly is still on the cards.

Last I read, he wanted to leave and we'd placed a 45m Euro bid for him, Napoli are yet to respond.

The other option seems to be Marksimovic from Torino.

Reportedly sending Baba to Schalke on loan.

That is worrying and will leave us with Azpilicueta, Ivanovic and Aina for 2 FB spots.

No rumoured replacements yet.

Scratch that, Mail is linking us to Arias.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3716427/Chelsea-eye-PSV-Santiago-Arias-look-replace-Schalke-bound-Baba-Rahman.html

I'd be somewhat ok with that. He won't be too expensive, is a decent fullback and like Azpilicueta and Aina, can play on either flank.

So, Dave would be our starting LB, with one of Aina or Arias as our starting RB.

It looks as if Borussia M'gladbach get closer to signing Andreas Christensen. Currently Gladbach offer 18 mio Euros, Chelsea want 22 mio Euros. Plus there is an argument about the length a buy-back clause would be valid.

Isn't Kenedy supposed to be a left back too?

I still doubt we will sell, Chelsea seem very keen on keeping him, I suppose we'll just ask for a buyout clause and probably activate it next season.

He's a right winger.

Kenedy played LB for us a few times, but he isn't a LB, not by any stretch. He is very much a winger.

Elite, while you're here, have you seen much of Thiago Maia? We've been linked to a 15m bid for him:

The Times are running an interesting article over our proposed move for Lukaku:

http://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/chelsea-now-or-never-for-lukaku-deal-w39g5qchq

Times (Via ESPN) wrote:As Elvis once sang, It's Now Or Never. And that's pretty much what Chelsea are saying to Everton about their next bid for Romelu Lukaku.

On Monday, reports said the Merseysiders were adamant that Lukaku would start the new season at Goodison Park unless their £75 million valuation was met.

But the Times says Chelsea believe they can re-sign their former striker for less and have warned Everton that, if their next approach is rejected, there will not be another.

Everton paid £28 million to bring in Lukaku -- who scored 25 goals last season despite a frustrating campaign -- from Stamford Bridge two years ago.

The Times reports that "it is understood that Everton did not pay the full £28m up front and Chelsea are due to receive further payments," while a sell-on clause "will also be activated should Lukaku move to another club for more than £28m."

Chelsea, it concludes, will use those circumstances "to demand a discount." Further negotiations are due to take place "and the final bid is expected to be less than £70m."

He's one of the most promising young midfielders we have in Brasil right now. He's really talented though still inconsistent which is normal for someone who turned 19 a few months ago. He's a great all around player who can pass, dribble, shoot, and defend. He's even capable of a highlight reel throughball but like I said, he's still very raw. Especially for a club of Chelsea's caliber. He's in our olympic squad and was a starter in the friendly against Japan. He had a great shot that hit the bar from outside the area but he was also responsible for a really bad turnover that led to Japan's best chance. I was expecting him to be a reserve but he may have snatched a starting place in our midfield. We'll see on Thursday.

Conte is ready to sell Oscar for 30m:

Cuadrado's agent has denied that Milan has spoken to Chelsea about Cuadrado:

http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/695789/Chelsea-Transfer-News-Gossip-Rumours-Kalidou-Koulibaly-38m-Move-Antonio-Conte

And finally, we're offering 60-65m plus Remy for Lukaku:

We played 4-3-3 for the last part of the game today, and looked so much better than with the 4-2-4.

We also have the squad for it, as oppose to needing another CF for the 4-2-4. I wish Conte would run with the 4-3-3 this season..
