Re: Rayo Vallecano vs Real Madrid
@tito the point of bringing up isco is because some posters rather lose with him, than win with kroos or like last season illarra, just because of his useless dribbling and he is hyped, some posters need to learn the game instead of making thread after thread, blaming everybody else in midfield to make a case for a useless player like isco.

Re: Rayo Vallecano vs Real Madrid
Ugly game... but we have a lot of heart. Especially Bale and Vasquez.
I feel bad for Pepe and Varane. Marcelo and Danilo were absolutely pathetic defensively and so was the midfield. They either had to clear it or they had no help whatsoever.
Marcelo is horrible right now... downright horrible.

Re: Rayo Vallecano vs Real Madrid
Lucas Vasquez was bloody awesome when he came on. Bale being a leader. Nice to see
Danilo, Kovacic and Varane were atrocious. Isco was slightly better but still bad. Kroos as well. In fact everyone bar Bale and Vasquez were bad. Dont know what the hell James was doing when he came on he was neither here nor there.
If Carvajal still feels like he is injured we should pump him with enough pain killers he will feel woozy at the end. Dont want Danilo anywhere near the pitch on Tuesday
Dont really care if Benz is injured. Since his injury concern started he's never been able to carry us in the tough games

Re: Rayo Vallecano vs Real Madrid
oh boy, leave it to us to make things more "interesting" than they ought to be. good from gareth bale. the top players step up in tough moments, and he did just that. i had an argument with someone on here about lucas, i think it was after the last time we played atleti. i felt he wasn't ready cos real isn't espanyol; i think i'm prepared to take that back. whoever i was arguing with (i think hala or valk maybe), you might have been spot on with this...he's rough around the edges but plays with a lot of confidence and heart. btw me complementing him doesn't mean i'm hyping him up. cos it seems there's a thin line between hype and compliments on here

I AM ABSOLUTELY LOVING ZIDANE RIGHT NOW, completely transformed our team, keep making comebacks and the lineups are great.

Re: Rayo Vallecano vs Real Madrid
Varane wasn't any worse than Pepe. Both were solid, except for that mistake from varane early in the first half
Lucas Vasquez is fantastic. What a buy this kid was, amazing lad

Amazing when so many criticized Rafa for purchasing Lucas and he turns out to be a great alternative to the line up

the salt is killing you guys this season, got goals and assists in big title games, just midweek and as usual act like it never happen just to shit on him, again some of you don't know anything about footy, if benzema scored you guys would ignored it like every game he scores in so desperate.

Re: Rayo Vallecano vs Real Madrid
Rayo didnt really attack properly when we needed the 3rd goal but after that they were so close to scoring because he (Varane) was in no mans land on a cross. He really really needs to step the f up. Those constant injuries are whats made his progress stagnate
@tito, yh it was probably me. I agree that he is alittle rrough round the edges. There were at least 3 occassions where he could have scored had he hit the ball properly from Bale's crosses. But boy that run he made diagonall from left to right and dribbled through all those Rayo players to win us a free kick/throw in (not sure which one it was)

Rather have Lucas Vasquez against City than DMzema. Can't stand that guy's lax attitude anymore. Lucas at least puts a fight in there.

Re: Rayo Vallecano vs Real Madrid
Also id like to point out that Bale really led this team in Ronaldo's abscence. You could see everyone turned to him for passes and he never lost it once despite having at least one Rayo player on his heels all the time. He was always unselfish trying to find his teammates in the box instead of shooting himself like Ronaldo would do. I know its only Rayo but its encouraging to see

CBs were left all alone.
First goal... Danilo got raped and Pepe moved over to cover. Varane covered Pepe's man. Marcelo or midfielder forgot to cover the far man and he was all alone to score.
Second goal... corner. Varane and his man fought to a draw. Ball dropped in the box. Danilo didn't stay on his man and he pounced on the open ball for a goal 5 meter away.
Literally a defensive horror show from the fullbacks and midfielders.
Benz had a knee-to-knee shock around the 15th min. Tried to run it off for a while and finally had to leave as his knee was locking up. Same knee as previously injured.
Marcelo, Danilo and Kovacic were especially horrible. Isco was very bad and then came on in the 2nd half. Kroos, Varane and Pepe were OK. Jese was ineffective. Bale and Vasquez were very good. Modric couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with his passing when he came on
ALL THAT SAID... tremendous heart shown by the team even if they weren't playing well and Zidane was fearless with his tactical adjustments.
