You seem to be forgetting that Carletto crushed Cowardiola 0-4 in Munich back in 2014

Beat Liverpool by scoring 3 goals too
Remember beating Atletico Madrid 3-0 in a CL Semi
Beat Dortmund 3-0 in CL quarters
Don't remember all the years. But these are in the past 10 years.
Much more meaningful than a La Liga game that literally meant nothing to Madrid other than it being a Clasico. Hence the crazy tactics and lack of intensity... doesn't excuse it at all. But there ware a lack of intensity that was clear.
Barca have trashed Madrid alone more than 5 times in the last 13 years
0-4 in 2022
5-1 in 2018
0-3 in 2017
0-4 in 2015
5-0 in 2010
2-6 in 2009
but suddenly El Clasico is not meaningful

Every clasico is meaningful and you can see by the reactions of both teams. To win by such a margin in this game gives a huge boost in terms of morale and momentum even though you have a lead in the league it can also carry on to other competitions. It means a lot, not only to fans
And when you look back the manita in 2010 still means a lot, or even the 2-6 in 2009 regardless of position in the league tbh. Means even more now because we are supposed to be in a "deep crisis" whereas then we were in an infinitely better situation as a team
on top of that: XH first season as manager, the game being at Bernabeu... and you're trying to gaslight folks that it doesnt mean nothing

Re: Ousmane Dembélé
^ It meant nothing because win or lose, Madrid would still be 9 points from Sevilla and 12 points from you.
We are not trying to belittle your well-deserved win. We 1re just saying that it didn't carry as much weight as previous Clasicos because the title race was so tight back then, even a draw could cost you a title and every game was treated like a final.
For this particulat Clasico, Madrid had already gained so much ground that the players themselves didn't approach it with the same usual intensity. This doesn't excuse the defeat at all because you outplayed us fair and square but I think the game might've ended differently if Madrid was just one point clear from you and our main goalscorer was on the pitch.
Xavi' masterclass is undeniable, but let's face it, he was also helped a tiny bit by Carlo's tactical brainfart and laughable lineup.
I would still enjoy the win, but if I were you I would still also keep my feet grounded, as you seem to be getting carried away, because the scoreline deceivably indicates that Barça is a confirmed CL head breaker whereas in reality they are fighting for a Europa league trophy.
Once again, congrats for a well-deserved Clasico win. I'm sure with Xavi, you'll return to being elite again soon.

I/m not getting carried away. Fully aware that it'll take time to be back competing in CL knockouts, but it's not and was not the point
The one getting carried away here is Turok who thinks Carletto will crush Barca in any way

So the question still remains. Who is signing Dembele on a free? No rumours at all, leads me to believe that he's already agreed wiith a team. Most logical would be QSG but what if Uncle Flo has an ace up his sleeve

Re: Ousmane Dembélé
Ousmane will not stay at Barca. When LaPorta says "we have a salary level that all players who want to stay need to adhere to"... means its over. Dembele is looking to get paid. He's injury prone so he cannot leave money on the table.
Call me crazy. I think he ends up at Chelsea assuming the club is steady. He has a great relationship with Tuchel.

After the tension between Barça and Dembélé's camp in January, the will of both parties has changed. @Alfremartinezz
A meeting will take place in the next couple of days after Barça contacted Dembélé's agent.
hope he stays

Barca about to do a Bale here. This could either be the biggest mistake they have ever made or should be lauded for convincing their best attacker to stay

I'm on the fence, honestly. Who we get if he goes? I think Dembele is better than Raphinha and has a higher ceiling for sure. Since XH became manager, theres new medical staff and Dembele started to train differently and so far he seems more than fine so I think whatever injury issues he had can be overcome with a diet and better training routines.
So if you ask this question: "Do we want dembele to stay or let him leave and buy Raphinha" then hell yes I want dembele to stay. Whatever replacement we get will be inferior as I see it

Barça's message to Dembélé: "If you want to continue, you must be in charge, because now your agent is in charge and he doesn't speak in the line you speak."

Re: Ousmane Dembélé
Two things that I think are keeping him from reaching his full potential:
1. Attitude.
2. Injury-pronitute.
The first problem can be fixed by a manager who commands respect and rules with an ironfist. The Bald Fraud, for instance, would definitely make him more disciplined. I'm not sure about Xavi because I haven't seen enough from him yet, but he does strike me more as nice than disciplinarian (also not charismatic at all). We'll see as time goes by though.
The second problem can be improved if the first problem is fixed but the medical team does also play a crucial part in controlling injuries and preventing them from happening again. I know that our medical team sucks but I'm not sure about Barça's.
So yes, if you can fix both problems, then by all means keep him because he would do great with you. If you can't, then it would be wiser to let him go.

Im gonna be mad or at least mildly annoyed if we dont sign Raphinha because of this fool
() BREAKING: Dembele and Barcelona have both reached a basic agreement over a new deal. Contract until 2024, with a 40% salary reduction. Wages to be in the same level as Ansu Fati. Some details + final OK from the sporting area is pending. @ffpolo #Transfers pic.twitter.com/C89n7YUZ4n

2 year deal
This guy has the worst agents. Should bin them and sign up with Mendes. He would've got that QSG deal over the line ages ago
What's your new salary structure? Who sits where?

@Hala Honestly it's hard to keep up with who has taken a cut and who hasnt.
The sources say that Busquets is currently on 11m net (previously 16m net) and Alba on 10,5m net
No idea how much was deferred and if it's been paid off or not.
Ansu 7m net
Dembele 7m
Kessie 6m
Auba 5,5m
Pique ~5m
Depay 5m
Christensen 5m
Pedri ~4,5m
Ter Stegen 4,5m
Araujo 3,5m
Gavi 3,5m (not signed yet, waiting till he turns 18 y/o)
Ferran Torres 3m
Raphinha was rumored to get 6m net, and Lewa 8-9m

Ousmane Dembélé's agents wanted a €40M renewal bonus with a salary of €20M/year
@martimolinapey
Could be exaggerated but his agent did request a hefty bonus for sure and now they're getting absolute 0 in bonuses

Barca have decided that they will sign Raphinha first and then see what happens with Dembélé. @joaquimpiera
Raphinha could arrive in Barcelona on Monday; full agreement can be completed at any moment now.
