Coutinho's been very good, injuries held him back recently. Still has 5 goals and 4 assists in about 1400 minutes which isn't bad. Will come back stronger next year.

The truth is, even if we assume that Coutinho is world class (IMHO he isn't at all) he doesn't understand the Barça way and there is no place for a player like him in this system.

C’mon man, u cant honestly say he’s great watching him weekly. Dude is permanently benched as long as Dembele keeps up this form. Tell me which position he could realistically play for Barca right now.

He offers less than Dembele as LW in 433, less speed and less goal threat. It’s like having lesser Messi on the opposite side. He cant play LCM cause having Alba/ Coutinho/ Dembele on the same side at the same time is a waste of all three. EV doest think he can play RCM maybe cause he might step on Messi toes too much. He probably can play LM in 442 but it never gonna happen with Suarez on the pitch.

Sofar I seen the same thing happening to Cesc years ago, trying to shoe horn some position for Coutinho and it’s sub optimal. He’s so nonchalant on the pitch and offer that same trick, cut in and shoot. I have no idea why Barca wanted both him and Malcom.

If Dembele was available i would definitely take him. He doesn't suit Barca. He takes risk, only Messi is allowed to do that there
