Re: Ousmane Dembélé
Thimmy wrote:Great goal. I feel like Ousmane tends to be a hit or miss in situations like that, though. If Tottenham's defenders had kept their composure and prevented him from scoring, this would have been a scenario that I've seen from him several times in the past, where he opts to take on defenders instead of passing it to a team mate in a better position. It's his playing style and he's only playing to his strengths, but generally speaking, it would be more ideal if his decision-making was better, in my opinion. That said, he clearly made the right decision this time.
The ostensible problem with his decision making is IMO also due to the fact that anything is possible in any moment from him.
He's completely two footed so he can dribble, pass, shoot in everywhich way in every position, and that wealth of options makes it hard.
It's this sheer unpredictability that makes him so good to watch, for me, though.
His game is creative chaos (which is by the way also why he funtioned so well for Tuchel, who likes his teams to engender some creative chaos in the attacking phase to overcome tight defenses)

Yeah.. 2v2 and both defenders went into panic mode. It wasn't going to end well

Robert Fernandez: "We already knew about the (over) sleeping, but we wanted to bring him in because he has huge quality. It's a problem that can be sorted. If he'd been 27, it would be difficult, but he's still only 21 and I think Barcelona are capable of sorting it out."
yeah, it's true...

Oversleeping is a sickness that can be cured apparently.... every time I overslept as a kid, my parent would beat the crap out of me. Needless to say, I quickly became an early riser

Valverde on whether the Dembele issue is a closed topic after scoring against Tottenham:

He's looked brighter in recent games, but I'd be surprised if Valverde had completely taken a U-turn regarding him, based on a single moment of individual brilliance.

He parties too hard. That's why he oversleeps.
He was renting Klopp's house in Dortmund. After he left, Klopp complained that they had completely trashed the place.
Not the brightest light out there this Dembele. Love his talent. Wonder if he's not stupid though.

Re: Ousmane Dembélé
How do you oversleep for something that's at 11 am? Do you go to sleep at 5 am? If this isn't a sign of someone who doesn't care and takes everything for granted then IDK what is.
Neymar also partied but he always showed up and was perfectly professional.

Yeah making excuses for oversleeping would be fucking absurd. I often get like 4 hrs sleep but I get up because I have to.

Kid is talented. But if he's not professional enough to get up and be on time for training, then he doesn't deserve to even play at all.

Honestly I don't find anything special about him. I can find videos of Iñaki Williams and Vinícius Júnior doing stuff like that.

Dany, Dany.... You say that about everyone except Ramsey and Hazard. This is what you posted about Neymar after his move to Barca:
and then a littler later you posted:
Yeah, you kinda did....
Honestly it hurts my eyes to read your garbage posts. I wish you weren't so hell bent on commenting anything Barca but unfortunately it's your favorite club to hate on.

He had speed and a super high work rate. You can get pretty far with those qualities, these days Don't think I've ever heard of a more socially anxious footballer than him, though.

Re: Ousmane Dembélé
Found out he apparently stays up late watching netflix and playing video games.
What a lad, staying up playing CoD against Pogba and watching Narcos and scoring goals at the weekend.
Not even mad at it.
