Nah. It's a new take on King Kong. It's an origin story durinf the Vietnam war I think where some people end up on his island. It will connect with Godzilla from 2014 and they'll eventually fight eachother. This King Kong will be a lot lot bigger.
Nice nice.
Godzilla needs to obliterate Kong but they have made Kong so big to match him lmao.

I think Kong won in original due to some lightning attack or something. Don't remember.
They have to make Kong bigger because they made Godzilla 3 times bigger also. It's gonna be insane
Can't wait

Edge of Tomorrow (2014)
Great film. Really enjoyed it. Tom Cruise his usual good self. Emily Blunt was decent too.
Bit of a paradox at the end though but I suppose no time travel movie is without a paradox
8/10

Long as bleep? really? That's the biggest... understatement ever
It literally took over an hour for us to see King Kong and the first hour wasn't even interesting to say the least. Jack Black was also weirdly miscast.

Also Adam Wingards new movie The Woods is apparently a Blair Witch movie. No idea how they managed to keep it a total secret. It's absolutely amazing. Great job on that secrecy. JJ Abrams would be proud.

Basically the original found footage film (so yeah). Don't know about the new one. Never watched it though.

Just rewatched Saving Private Ryan (haven't seen it since I was like 10). What an incredible film, up there with the best.
Very hard to watch though.

Coherence (2013)
Seriously an amazing low budget sci fi film. Great story and an enjoyable watch. Kept the interest up right till the end.
Quite an open ending but I am not sure if it was the right ending. Could have done it a bit differently. But oh well
Really recommend this.

- Spoiler:
You realise that Laurie and Amir were not from the same universe right from the start? When Laurie didn't recognise Mike as the actor. The alternate reality thing started happening right before the dinner lol.
It was kinda sad that whoever left the house would never ever be able to get to the same reality. It was an infinite loop. In the end 100000s of themselves were into a different world. Some obviously were the same while others were so different as we saw.

I did this as well along with Flags of our Fathers/Letters from Iwo Jima and Band of Brothers (The Pacific is up next)....all are incredible and still hold up so well.

Yeah, I've never seen Band of Brothers so I'm looking to tackle that next. I've also never seen Schindler's List, so that's on the docket as well.
I've never heard of The Pacific

He hasn't though. He posted the EW cover of Matthew McConaughey looking all Copperfieldy. Just posted a weird picture of one of his great friends. Would love for Leto to be in it though. But he'll probably take another huge break

RG you can't go wrong with my recommendations.
Let me aware you on another brilliant low budget flick: The Man From Earth (2007)
I recommend going into it completely blind. Don't watch or read anything about it. Just go and watch it.

Godzilla wins in the first 15 minutes via RKO. This Kong is way too small. Either way, Godzilla won the original Japanese cut and Kong won the American cut. The very idea that Kong could win this offends common sense.

Same Moto. Kong is not even in his league. Hilarious how they had to make him look big so he can be a match for GODzilla. If there is anything other than godzilla obliterating him then it will be hilarious and them pandering to the kong fanboys. Godzilla should be fighting the likes of King Ghidorah, Mothra or Destoryha.

Dark City (1998)
Incredible film. Great premises. Was my first noir film afaik and I really loved it. It was a mixture of genres and not just sci-fi. I saw the twist coming but was still shocked as I imagined it a bit different to what it really was. CGI and affects were a bit outdated as it was like 18 years ago but it doesn't put you off.
Kiether Sutherland was interesting in it lol.
Jennifer Connelly. Lord.... Why none of you say anything about her before ffs
