And how many of them should not have been a penalty? When you've got the 4 best dribblers/players in the world in one attack that holds possession inside the box for large amounts of time in any game it's surprising they don't have more penalties.

The defender clearly barges into him when the ball is out of his reach. I don't know why you think he "loses his left leg", when all he does is put weight on the foot that happens to be on the ground, while the defender pushes him sideways. How exactly do you conclude that the "tackle" on Messi is a clear penalty and the arm-flailing shoulder barge on Modric is a dive? Harmonica goggles.

Woulda won anyway without the penalties so why mention it....

The only condition under which I can see myself complaining about unfair red cards or nonexistent penalties is in big games when every little detail matters and the smallest refereeing mistake could change the entire flow and give the win to the undeserving side.

In small games? It can only be an issue when the team benefiting from these non-existent penalties is struggling to find the net and couldn't have possibly won without them. Barça would've won anyway yesterday.

The question you should be asking is, would Barça still be first without those refereeing calls? And the answer is yes. They have been, by far, the best team in Spain this season. And if they win the league, it'll be totally deserved.
