I understand your stance very well, but voted no.
I think a proper computer should still be what an Internet forum is optimized for and sigs are part of that equation, imo.

Isn't there a mobile version of the forum? The layout is different and there are no sigs or avatars.

@ErPupone: yes but unfortunately there is no post-option so it is read-only.

Why not disable NSFW signatures ?

To be honest I think signatures add personality.

We are here for discussions. I get that they add personality, but ultimately everyone is hotlinking shit from a million different sites and even on a computer with a wired connection to the might internet, it can take a while before a page has completely loaded.

So thankful for Adblock. I have all the avatars disabled and a lot of the signatures disabled, especially the GIFs and the NSFW pics. Really it seems pointless to have signatures and/or avatars, they just are unnecessary waste of space. We are here for discussions and removing them won't make the forum boring as some would think. I actually like it better with the Adblock because I can focus more on the content than about looking at the signatures and avatars, because lets face it, before we read a post the first thing that we see are those things. And as some people pointed out they slow the loading down.

I also adblock, but you can't do it on a cellphone. However, avatars are pretty ok, they make it easier to know whos posting.

You can't login in it and you can't skip pages, you've to start from page 1 and click next 20 times if it's a big thread. This is the case in transfer rumours threads.

Is there any way to modify the mobile version only? ( not really a forum expert)

Should make a maximum size limit, and limit the number of characters. Like most other forums.

Nowt wrong with a banner/images on a single line, but some people go way over the top forcing you to scroll down half a page just to get past their sig.

Sigs themselves don't need to disappear, but it would be nice if there were a size limit and NSFW sigs were banned.

The disgusting GIFs of half-naked sluts are completely pointless here and should be banned.

It's especially bad that some people who spend all day posting on the forums like Nick have them, because I can't even browse any thread without seeing that stuff.

As previously stated: Anything deemed acceptable for broadcast in US-based Victoria's Secret (or similar) television commercials* is considered acceptable content for this forum.

*Obviously nothing on the upper channels (HBO, Stars, Cinemax) or PPV.

We understand the stance of the forum, but it's not a questions of being acceptable or not, for most of us anyway. It's a question of these NSFW sigs keeping us from the forum at public places because we don't want to be perceived as looking at soft porn in a library/class/work/etc. I don't think it's fair to the amount of people that feel this way (about half looking at the poll) given that keeping sigs within the limits of SFW should not be too hard.

I completly agree. We should make a new poll just about banning NSFW sigs to see if people will moan or not

Agreed!

It's freaking ridiculous when people have sigs that takes up more space then the text in a thread. Apparently some people lack self control and just keep adding crap gifs to their sigs
