ayy lmao
danyjr wrote:Mr Nick09 wrote:and why in his right mind should he go for the "hard" option lmao
Same reason some of us decide to play the highest difficulty when we play a video game? Ever heard of a challenge?
ever heard of fk logic ?
danyjr wrote:Then explain to me why Klopp decided to go to Liverpool when half of Europe were after him.
Because that was the best club available to him and the best offer he had as well .
danyjr wrote:If by more accomplished you mean he has won more (using far better teams) then I agree with you.
Yes Sherlock that's exactly what he meant , and he didn't just use far better teams , he was a huge reason why they proved far better teams . One uses far better teams in the playstation , apparently you can't tell the difference ?
danyjr wrote:Why would Wenger stay in Arsenal for eternity, despite a decade of financial troubles when Madrid, Barcelona and PSG all approached him at peak? He could have easily gone and won more than he will ever dream of winning with Arsenal. But he chose to stay. Respect to the old man.
And how that exactly even helps your case ? Wenger didn't stay for the challenge , he stayed because he loves Arsenal . He still stayed and managed one of the biggest clubs in the world , i don't even .. did he reject any top jobs to stay somewhere like Crystal Palace or something? He was already pretty damn high , inb4 we begin to pity Wenger because he's coaching fkn Arsenal for 20 years . He coaches ARSENAL all this time . ARSENAL . Respect to the old man , yes he chose to stay , but your words sound more pity than actual genuine respect .
danyjr wrote:Actually when you say Guardiola's success, he hasn't actually done much apart from what he did at Barcelona initially. He won La Liga when Barcelona were clearly the better team and once he felt Madrid were gaining some advantage he quit. With Bayern even I would win Bundesliga so I wouldn't call that an achievement. And he's been multiple penetrated by Madrid and Barcelona in CL the past few seasons.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Your point is irrelevant when Klopp had Dortmund in the relegation zone for more than half a season. Stop acting like the players are the only reason for Guardiola's success.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:I do find it funny why Guardiola is the only one who is criticized for having success with good teams when any manager in history has had the same.
Further more why Ancelotti can manage Juventus, Milan, Chelsea, PSG, Madrid and Bayern but nobody says a word....
I'm not sure why you bring Ancelotti into the equation, everyone knows he is a huge flop and his CL glory cannot hide the fact that he's ultimately meh.
Ancelotti ultimately meh now . Lad , when Ancelotti was winning his 2nd CL , your own club had 1 less . Back in the day when you were having your big challenges in the playstation as a 12 year old .
danyjr wrote:Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Ancelotti is meh? It's ok i think we are done here as i'm clearly dealing with the mentally challenged.
3 domestic titles in 18 years, thou mentally superior one
another nice shitpost
danyjr wrote:BarrileteCosmico wrote:Because he is a hipster. It's his personal preference to coach mid level teams. Are you seriously suggesting that Pep should've gone to Fiorentina instead of City?
No, he could have taken a team like United and built a team in a few years to finally challenge for title. Instead he chose the team that is consistently challenging for the league every year.
Like United is going to stay like that forever ? Like Pep didn't choose City to do the exact same anyway ? You're basically shitting on him and then go on to say United need someone as great as him to return in their winning ways . Do these contradictions just escape you ?

United would have been more of a challenge but City is also an okay choice to prove himself, he can't run away with the title with that squad like he does in Bundesfodder or with the 2 best players of this generation (Messi and Xavi) carrying him. So I'm fine with his choice. But he will fail anyway.
And he definitely wouldn't have the finest forward line in Europe bailing him out when he messes up.

Btw Real completely overrun Barca in those two super cup matches, fat Messi rescued Barca then with completely against flow of the game. Same if Cronaldo would've won the last Clasico for Real.jibers wrote:LeSwagg James wrote:Pep has always been a coward. He fled Barca as soon as Mourinho figured him out. Re: Pep Guardiola's adventures in Manchester City
pep wont coach his way to titles at city he will buy his way to them. I think pep is one of the best managers in the world. but him picking city over man u tells me he wants to take the easy way. if city find it hard to get goals will he work on it on the training pitch or spend 150mil on 2 strikers. center backs making mistakes will he work on organisation or buy 2 world class defenders.

I always felt Guardiola actually took the easy way out, he saw how Barca was getting stale, and didn't know how to revitalize it. The same as Thiago, both kind of left to glory hunt with Buyern.

the problem he had with barca was they got so high and so good him and the team could only get worst. so he left at the very top.Harmonica wrote:I always felt Guardiola actually took the easy way out, he saw how Barca was getting stale, and didn't know how to revitalize it. Re: Pep Guardiola's adventures in Manchester City
he left because his system was not working anymore.
players weren't as motivated and he didn't have control of the club anymore, wanted to sell alot of players and our dumb president didn't allow him to do what he wanted to.
he left before he embarassed himself like mourinho does every third year of his new club is that so bad? lol
no longer are you going to see managers like fergie and wenger staying 4 years at a club and then criticizing him for leaving
and the idiots making fun of his one year off
he started playing professionally in 1990 as a player, retired in 2006, as soon as he retired starting coaching for Barcelona's B team in 2007
the guy literally has had two years break while professionally staying fit and active to managing in the last 25 years. and people still complain and don't understand why he wanted to take time off? mind you even when he was on break he was constantly working on learning the german language to prepare for his new club

He could have spoken Martian and still win with Bayern in Bundesliga. Personally, his sabbatical lasted a lot longer after he left Barcelona.

Re: Pep Guardiola's adventures in Manchester City
No coach or player willingly takes a step-down. Pep is the best coach in the world, why the hell should he coach some crap PL team like Stoke or Norwich? If a team with an unlimited budget is out there and has talented players who can implement your vision of footy why shouldn't he take the offer? I'm pretty sure any other coach would do the same if they had the opportunity.
Everyone here knows Pep has a specific playing style and needs the correct players to implement it. You'd think with his trophy cabinet and the style of football he has his team play, it would be enough. But nah, he needs to coach Stoke and make Charlie Adam the next Xavi, to truly prove himself (:
It's an idiotic argument, and the same people who use that argument are the same clowns who claim 'you need to go to PL to prove yourself', 'Messi was carried by Xavi and Iniesta', and all those others stupid arguments.

Like I said, Pep is still resting and has this part time gig where he supervises Bayern in Europe where he may or may not win some matches.
Honestly glad he is heading to the BPL. Incredible addition to an already mad, weird yet highly enjoyable league.

Re: Pep Guardiola's adventures in Manchester City
I don't think it was a choice between stoke and city was it. he could have gone to man u who are in the top 3 biggest clubs in the world with great history and one of the biggest fan base in the world who at the moment are not great and don't have a great squad. he would get funds but after spending 300mil in the last few years would not get silly money to spend. or he could go to city who are not a big club. not a great fan base. not a great history. but have a title winning team with unlimited funds.Casciavit wrote:No coach or player willingly takes a step-down. I'll answer your question with another question (or probably two): Was 2008's third-placed Barça an easy job? If, let's say, Pellegrini had taken over that Barça side, do you believe he would've been able to match or at least transform them into world beaters?
