I think I confused some things in my memory. It was the debt to revenue rate that forces the board to resign, nothing with wages. I got that mixed up in my posts.

Robben earns 7m gross, lewa 9m, ribery 12m, etc. No-one at Bayern earns more than 7m nēt. Messi earns 20-25m net, i think we can field robben,costa,muller,lewa,thiago and neuer in that.

Ridiculous.....and now they want to increase this absurd wages...

I'd rather have Messi in my team than Robben+Costa+Müller+Lewa+Thiago+Neuer though. .

That begs the question though, why are Bayern players happy with such low wages? They could easily walk into a team like Barca, Real, or a PL team and double their earnings.

Is this the same Thiago who could "easily walk into Barca and double his wages" who left Barca in the first place because he in fact couldn't get past a fraudulent Fabregas and 50 year old Xavi?

Are you seriously disputing that Thiago would walk into your team? Even if you are (which would be ridiculous), he could easily go to team like Man Utd, City, Chelsea, etc. and double his wages.

Are you disputing that he FACTUALLY left because he couldn't get into the team? Maybe on your Fifa save he walks into Barca.

For Thiago to walk into ANY team he would need to be able to walk without crutches first.

Yes, he hasn't improved in the last 3 years, because he in fact had 3 ACL injuries and hasn't even had a single season where he reached the 1000 Bundesliga minutes mark (out of possible 3060 minutes).

Thiago played both games against Barca so it can't be that long imo

Last season against Barca I think I spotted him during the handshakes although I don't remember seeing him during the 90 minutes.

Anyway regardless of your irrational hate for Thiago, surely you must admit he could get double his wages if he moved to the PL? Or at least the rest of the Bayern players, Lewa, Neuer, etc

Sure, anyone who is half decent could get double his wages if they accepted to play for desperate Premier League clubs. No doubt United would be willing to pay € 30M net wages for Neymar. They already have Rooney on 300 thousand pounds a week.

Inb4 Madrid fans who think all their players are top 3 in their positions takin part in these discussions despite being irrelevant on the pitch for the past 8 seasons.

Thiago's better than Rakitic imo and he's a consistent top player for Bayern.

First of all, footyfan's numbers don't seem quite right at this pint in time, even if it's the general dimension of our wages.

Our top earners at the moment are around 12-14m per year (i.e. 6-7m net).
These are Ribéry, Lahm, Müller, possibly Götze, Lewa's probably close.
Robben interestingly is indeed not quite top earner but surely gets more than 7m gross by now (I'd be interested where footyfan gets his numbers from).
Boateng, Martinez got new contracts, guess they'll earn around 10m too. Neuer surely too.


So simply put, while we don't pay in the dimension that Barca and Real pay their top players, we pay good money too.
It's not like the difference is that huge, except for Ronaldo, Messi and soon Neymar.

Top earners at City, Utd, Chelsea, Real, Barca, PSG all will probably get more than our top earners, but it's just a select few players.

When Müller is courted by PL clubs, we give him a raise too.
It's not like Robben would 'walk into Barca' to get paid like Neymar.

The question you should be asking is how did Bayern manage to sign and renew those players without shelling out a warchest? Cause those players would be more than happy to get as much as they would've gotten had they signed for Real Madrid or Barça. So what's the secret? Let's say you are a rising starlet playing at a relatively small club, and you hear that there's one big club coming for you. One. You certainly would take their offer no matter how low it is and without even blinking, wouldn't you?

Now imagine you're a rising starlet playing at a relatively small club and you hear there's Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munchen coming for you. You certainly would take your time and weigh your options - here, whoever offers the fattest payheck usually gets the player.

In that regard, Bayern are different. There's a reason they never went north of 40m to sign a player. And there's a reason they never battled Europe's heavyweights to get the signature of an established elite. They would rather take their chances with their own players and those they buy from smaller clubs before the fame gets to them. And of course those players will stay happy and renew as long as there's nobody else offering more.
