I know youtube isn't the greatest indication, but from the youtube video's I've watched, really not that impressed. Don't expect him to be our midfield savoir or anything.

Elneny's at a good age, reports on him indicate that he's got a great temperament & humility, he's never meant to be a savior but instead a water carrier. He may not be a purely defensive-minded player but I think his role will be to help a lot of the rest of the team shine. If he eventually just serves as a replacement to Flamini/Arteta in the team in the long run, it won't be a bad deal, and if he improves more and really gives Coquelin some competition, it will be great business. IMHO.

Believe his YT compilations were good enough IMO.I expected people to say YT is making him look good and not what you said.

Anyways why isn't there enough excitement regarding this signing?

I do hope people aren't expecting superstars or the so-called savior signings from AW of all people and that too during January.

This guy will be just about the right signing we need.With Ramsey camping in the wrong D almost always,this guy's engine might save us.Flam can only manage to play his role well he cannot cover for Ramsey with ageing legs.

This guy can prove to be just the right type of signing we need to compliment Ramsey.Hope it works out.Egyptians don't seem to like the EPL too much IMO and the last Egyptian who joined a London club was a horrible flop too,so fingers crossed.

P.S. Waiting for the influx of Egyptian footy fans to start making us win every online poll by abominable margins.

T-mach : we used to have a couple of great Egyptian gooners on GL back in the day. I don't know what happen to them since the domestic troubles, unfortunately. Spyder was one iirc. Forgot the other lad's nickname

You could just take it in the Newcastle route and just assume that he's the worst player ever.
