Hiddink or Ramos?

Who do you want?
Hiddink or Ramos?
These two look most likely to be our interim manager, so who do you want?
Neither have particularly good records in recent times but both have vast experience.

Depending on who you believe, it's one or the other.
My personal pick would have to be Hiddink, but then again. I live in Australia and everyone in Australia sees him as a god (am I right, Fitty?)

Re: Hiddink or Ramos?

Ramos isn't the greatest, but Hiddink hasn't done anything of note since he did well with us. So I don't think either are fantastic options, but they look like the best we have.

Re: Hiddink or Ramos?
March 2012, Di Matteo looked like a pretty underwhelming interim appointment too. And we can see how that worked out. Now, do I think whoever comes in is going to win the Champions League against all odds and sweep up an FA Cup to boot again? Hardly. But it does speak to the power of uninspiring appointments defying expectations.
To answer the question, I 100% prefer Hiddink. But, that said, it's absolutely the case as you noted, that neither of them (or anyone else feasibly attainable right now) is exactly gonna send any Chelsea fan dancing down the street. Neither has particularly covered himself in glory of late, it's safe to say. It's also true, I'd say, that much of Guus' success during his first spell was down to (or at least helped in a very big way by) the huge personalities we had in the team, finally coming together after underperforming for his predecessor. We don't exactly have a similar contingent these days (as the last 4 months proves...), and consequently I can see the potential success of any temporary appointment – whoever he may be – be affected accordingly.

Re: Hiddink or Ramos?
Fair point. But I think that logic could be applied to both Hiddink and Ramos.

I mean that both would be underwhelming appointments, like RDM, and that both could exceed expectations.

Re: Hiddink or Ramos?
Oh right. Of course. Wasn't trying to imply anything otherwise. It applies to pretty much anyone they could install. Although it increasingly is indeed looking like Guus.

I agree, for better or worse. It looks like we are getting Guus.

I'm with Guus as well. It's just gonna be interesting to see what he could do with the current squad. Also, if he's intending to make a season changing transfer in January
