If he is that naive that he can't see how cancerous Flamini on the pitch is, with all this time managing a club in the top flight, then I have nothing more to say about this.

We didn't get tired at all though. Barcelona's tactics of wearing teams down probably work better in La liga but our fitness levels were actually impressive. After 1-0 it was all downhill though

To clear things up:

I am not reacting to Flamini costing us the game tonight. I am reacting to the thought process which led to him being on the pitch in the first place.

Of course it doesn't matter one way or the other over two legs - nobody realistically expected us to win anyway. But that blind trust in some players, and wrong substitutions, will cost us any remote chance of silverware this season. And this is not the first time the old man has messed it up. And obviously, it will not be the last. *That* is why I am pissed off with Wenger.

I think the arsenal fans are being a bit hard on the team tonight. missed some big chances and 2 mistakes cost them. I think they played well over all

We're hard on the team because it happens every year and we're a bit fed up of playing well but ultimately failing, even if it is expected.

Missing chances and making costly errors is standard for us in these games.

It was like watching a re-run of Arsenal-Monaco.

It doesn't matter much but I think that's the third Barca fan I've seen say that we didn't play last weekend.

They played but with most of their subs.

Giroud was a poor choice. If you are gonna play counter, play a fast striker, like Welbeck or Walcott. It was nice to see Malexis at it again.

First half was kind of boring and we didn't play it well, but we had a good second half and it's a deserved win, though surely Arsenal should have scored one. Anyway, goog game and 1,5 legs into quarterfinals.

They had two first team players starting.

Giroud is so poor. He only can head, and the header he made was softer than a cotton ball. You would win the league this season with a proper striker.

What baffles me about that Giroud chance isn't that he completely messed up the pass, but the fact he's passing in the first place. He can quite easily shift it onto his favoured foot and shoot at goal. Hell he could probably shoot with his right foot too.

Chamberlain's miss was a lot worse, though.

Let's not overreact. Giroud may not be world class but on his day he is very very good. His problem is consistency not talent.

Giroud can't do anything outside the box. Too slow.

i dont even know all these arsenal players names (except for traitor sanchez and devil worshiper ozil) because i dont watch the english league anytime, but the big defender guy did pretty good. everyone said he wouldnt be fast enough but he was allright. made the mistake of playing a short pass in the box that led to the penalty. wasnt even the subs fault imho

Meh, tired performance as expected, but enough to beat a Mule League title contender in their own stadium of course. Now I hope we throw the Sevilla game and just give everyone a long rest.

Also I hope someone smashes Alba's face. Embarrassed that this talentless rat is wearing the Blaugrana. Acting like a tough guy against people twice his size. Do it outside the stadium you sewer rat.
