Vettel has the championship already in the bag imo. I wonder what the odds are on him winning a grand prix because it must be one of the most sure bets you can make at the moment.

Oh! I juz can't wait for Canada!

It was one of the best (if not the best) grand prix last year, and I juz have a feeling is gonna be terrific again.

Alonso did great in Monaco, in fact, Ferrari looked better last time around, and I hope that they continue to be good, i mean what's formula one without a competitive Ferrari team?? Smile

The teams caught up. They were so dominant in early 2009 coz they had the double diffuser. Now their car just isn't good enough. They're lucky to have two great drivers, coz IMO the Renault is much better than the Merc.

Yeah Renault have got a seriously clever exhaust system. I think it's the most complicated on the grid. Clever stuff.

Yeah I trust in Ross, but I think podiums were part of their plans this year, and well, I;ve not seen anything like that yet. Problem is, there are so many other competitive teams. The Big 2 have become Red Bull and McLaren, but Ferrari have Alonso so there are 5 driverswho are always in contention to win a race. Red Bull are near unstoppable, McLaren have a quick car and two great drivers (though one who whines too much Razz), and Ferrari have a pretty reasonable car, not brilliant, but 3rd best on the grid, and have the best driver on the grid (I'm not counting Schumi in all of his career though, just since his comeback Razz). So that means that Merc need a lot of luck to win, unless they're performing exceptionally well, in which case I think they'd be quicker than Mark and maybe Jenson. Then there are the Renaults to challenge, both drivers hungry for their first win (so is Rosberg mind you)....it's pretty complicated, and pretty exciting, all this talent through the field. But the Red Bull and McLaren are just too far ahead of the rest.

...I like F1 :cyclops: Razz

Yeah, Red Bull outsmarted them, and used the fact that they had 2 guys in the championship. I think all people in it deserved to win it. Mark had a fantastic year, got unlucky in Korea, Vettel got unlucky in Korea and the first two races, Hamilton crashed out in Singapore and Monza and lost his chance, Alonso had a terrible mid-season etc.

All of them got unlucky I suppose, and the best man won.

Yeah I think Ferrari are letting themselves down with this new approach of theirs though. Ferrari are different somehow to how they were with Michael and to a certain extent Kimi. They're focusing too much on Fernando IMO. They're pushing Massa out of it, and his confidence has gone crashing down, and so has his driving. I think for the best of both Felipe and Ferrari they should swap him for Perez. He's a very good driver, should push Alonso and should have some support from Ferrari as he's from their Young Academy. Massa's contract ends in 2012 so we might see this in 2013, but I think Ferrari should see to this problem ASAP.

Haha I really can't stand Alonso, but he's a fantastic driver and unlike Hamilton is super focused and super concentrated.

Raikkonen was at the Monaco GP, but got sent away or something coz they didn't recognize him :') And he just went away. Kind of sad tbh, I miss him in F1.

True that. I think Schumi's team was a lot stronger than Fernando's though, and Schumi is more able to extract from them. Schumi had Brawn, Todt and Byrne and extracted the utmost out of them and the rest of the team. Fernando has fitted in nicely at Ferrari too, but Ferrari is not the same anymore, I feel.

Ferrari have reacted to Fernando like they did with Michael, just not with the same results. Also the grid has become a lot more competitve.

Ferrari is back!

Though Vettel again got pole position for the tomorrow's Canadian GP, Alonso and Massa both put in great lap times finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively!

Ferrari has been dominant the whole weekend with Vettel, and though, Alonso was first in Q1 and Massa first in Q2, they juz couldn't do an encore in Q3 as World Champion Sebastian Vettel put in a lap time of 1:13.014

Top 3:
1. Vettel 1:13.0
2. Alonso 1:13.1
3. Massa 1:13. 2
