Re: The 2016 January Transfer Window Thread
Chelsea agree personal terms with Alexandre Pato but clubs yet to finalise deal:
Brazilian has agreed a three-year deal at Stamford Bridge which could mean Loic Remy is on his way out of the Premier League

Re: The 2016 January Transfer Window Thread
Pato did an interview last year where he said he no longer feels like he can play as an out and out No.9. We're buying another Pedro, ffs. It's going to be a horrible move.
Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that Napoli want to buy Chalobah for 4m Euros.
It just gets worse and worse

We're also supposedly eyeing Lavezzi this month. So by my count we're looking to buy two Pedros....

From what I have read, I don't rate him.
He's a massive downgrade from Remy, tbh.

Apparently Sporting, Benfica and Liverpool are also in for Pato
And Djilobodji has been loaned to Werder Bremen.

The Mail are reporting that matic has decided to leave us during the summer, unless we sign a manager he wants to work with

Lavezzi apparently prefers to return to Italy over joining us.
The mail claims Stones will cost 50m, I'd rather get Christensen back, tbh.

Whats the betting we lose Teixeira to Liverpool?
I'd personally be ok with it, we need other players first.

With our luck he'll join them and end up being Douglas Costa 2.0

Re: The 2016 January Transfer Window Thread
If he is Remy's replacement, I am not happy, but if we use him, keep Remy and send Flopcao to the reserves, I am ok with it.
Also, if Ramires leaves for China, we'll probably need to sign a replacement. Mikel has been linked with a move there too, so I'd be open to selling both, buying a new CM and giving the 4th spot to RLC.
First player I would be after is Granit Xhaka. Solid, yet card prone young DM/CM, who plays for BMG. Been heavily linked to Arsenal and would cost around £30m.
The reason I suggest him, is because of our current good terms with BMG. I am sure we can negotiate some deal with them, considering the good deals we have done in the past, perhaps we could send someone like Kalas or MVG on loan to sweeten the deal (not Christensen).
Other mid season options could be Wijnaldum, or Sven Bender.
Thoughts?

Re: The 2016 January Transfer Window Thread
So, Pato's agent has confirmed he'll join us on a 6 month loan.
I guess that means Remy is leaving.

Confirmation was given by the striker's agent, Gilmar Veloz, on Tuesday. The value of a possible contract ultimately also consist in the contract agreed with the Corinthians. Pato decided the pendency he had with the work visa and traveling late at night on Tuesday for London in flight at 23.50. Veloz also said that Chelsea will not confirm the hiring until the arrival of Pato in England.
Chelsea will bear the salary of $ 800,000 from Alexandre Pato. Thus, the Corinthians should make a savings of $ 4.8 million over the next six months. The expectation is that the Corinthians, with whom Pato has a contract until the end of this year, renew with striker for another season so he can sell it after the end of the loan. In July, you could already sign a pre-contract with any club without the Corinthians won something for transfer.
At 26, the player revealed by international will wear the shirt of his fifth club career. After being sold by Colorado to Milan, Pato hit contract with Corinthians in 2013 and played in Sao Paulo on loan in the past two years. Without the renewal of the loan with the Tricolor and the return of the player to the Parque São Jorge, the alvinegra board at any time wondered the possibility to integrate it to the cast, always trying to trade it.
While awaited the outcome of his move to European football, the player trained alone in CT Joaquim Grava and even traveled to the United States for pre-season of Corinthians. During the period of negotiations, Alexandre Pato took its name speculated in Tottenham, Liverpool and Sporting-IN. The Tianjin Quanjian, China, even made an official proposal by the attacker, but the desire to return to European football made him refused a salary of $ 5 million a month.
I guess that means Remy is leaving.

Very low-risk signing. And given the alternatives we already have, I'm delighted he'll be arriving.

Re: The 2016 January Transfer Window Thread
Considering it's like 4m pounds total for him and his wages over the next 6 months, it's ok.
in other news, Ramires has one foot out the door:
Apparently a photo of him arriving to agree terms:

Looks like this is happening.

The move I and many others have pined for for years and years, yet now that it's actually, finally happening, I feel oddly underwhelmed. And [Lord knows...] it's not because of any sort of emotional attachment to him either. Weird.

I can only hope we get a replacement. That is what I like the most about this deal.
Granit Xhaka pls.

Even if we don't, it most likely means a step-up in the pecking order for Loftus-Cheek. And he'll certainly be an improvement on Ramires.
