He's a great player, getting shafted by Juve defence doesn't mean much we play with 3 CBs who when in form are ridiculous and have been playing together for years.

Measured? I didn't talk about stats. Dude is playing average since the ManU game. You'd expect great things of an 80 milion player, not just excuses like "he was the best of his pile of shit team".

Haven't watched yesterday's game, so I won't comment. I guess he was fantastic for KDB fans though.

Let's be real, GL doesn't have a KDB fanbase, the guy gets mentioned like once every 6 months excluding his transfer movements.

KdB has been very good to great for City for the most part. Just because transfer fees are ridiculous now days doesn't change that he's a great player. The problem is that City doesn't really have any passion...they seem pretty lifeless as a team. Whether that's because of the players or the manager or a combination of both I don't know. There's so much talent there that they'll probably win the PL anyway.

He probably isn't an 80m player but markets can be really weird. Most players over 20m seem to have fees that outweigh what strike me, personally, as "reasonable" fees for them. Still, KDB is a really productive player, and just a few months into a transfer doesn't provide a very good sample size to really judge a transfer, regardless of its fee.

I don't necessarily care about the kid one way or the other, but I do think he's a very good player, with room to grow and to settle at his new club. He's played about 13 matches for Man City, with half a dozen goals, half a dozen assists. Not always in his preferred position. In some of those matches, he's been anonymous. In others, he's been sparkling. "Worth" 80m euros? I don't know yet. But overall the dude is contributing, and right now Man City need players who can do that. If he only cost 25m, or 15m, we'd all be talking about how it was a great piece of business. If he continues his scoring/assist at the rate he's been doing, he'll certainly be a major factor in whatever success his club might achieve this season.

(I didn't see the City v Juve game yesterday, aside from a few minutes near the end. So I have no idea how his performance colors my comments. From the sounds of it ... he didn't have a great game?)
