One thing I didn't quite like was that it showed in the flashbacks that Jessica still had the same personality before she met Kilgrave. In the comics she was this idealistic and naive girl who idolized the Avengers until her horrible experience with Kilgrave. Then after that she became more mature and this hard nosed, no nonsense woman. It would have made the effect Kilgrave had on her more jarring if they did that on the show too.

Definitely agree with this. Her personality was already bitchy before she met Kilgrave. So I understand where RED is coming from here.

Long story short then she's messed up in the head, and if she was walking about helping old people cross the road in between bouts of laughter and smiles it would make zero sense, might as well just give her a vanilla happy back story.

From the brief scenes we saw, she was like that before the incident with her parents too.

I gave up on the show. Came to the conclusion that it sucks.

From the characters having no personality, no likeability to the cheesy acting and poor fighting scenes that look as if it's in slow motion.

Started off promising, but after ep5 it went downhill for me. Stopped at ep8.

Runaways is pretty good imo. Not overly cheesy like most other shows on tv.

Might watch this. Still haven't gotten around to Punisher. 3 bad seasons in a row soured me on most of Marvel's Netflix stuff.

I've been watching quite a few Netflix shows in recent months. Some of them are decently entertaining, but overall they all seem to be kind of mediocre. I can't think of a single show that had me really look forward to getting home from work and watching the next episode, like several shows in the past did. There were relatively recent shows like Dexter, which would stagnate from time to time, but I was never in doubt that it was a great TV series. The Punisher seemed like a pretty cool show when I started watching it, but the appeal died down pretty fast. Every other show on Netflix seem to be the same, to varying degrees.

It almost seems as if these Netflix show writers' ambitions gradually fade as more and more episodes are released - and that would've been pretty common, if we were talking about a TV show that had more than 1 season in it. I'm not sure if my standard of expectations has increased, or if this is simply a result of quantity over quality. From what I can tell, there are a myriad of series to watch these days, but I struggle to think of one that I thought was truly entertaining to watch throughout an entire season.

Honestly if I couldn't have binged this I never would've finished it. Bad IMO.

I am 6 episodes in and it is a lot 'much ado about nothing' so far

Decent though but that's about it. Hope the next 6 are better. Doesn't help that it has arguably the worst side characters in any marvel show.

Can we axe every Mehvel show besides The Punisher now?
