they would have to be incredibly ignorant tbf. Hard not to know we won 3/5 possible trophies this season and finished behind elite teams in the league.
Slightly different from Tuchel's situation IMO.

Seriously I know some of you are Tuchel fanboys but it's pretty simple;
Should Dortmund have finished above a newly promoted team and comfortably above someone like Hoffenheim?
take off the rose tinted glasses, Dortmund can do better.

What trophies? That garbage community shield & Europe Loser's league? If Bayern was playing EL, I would ask them to send the U-17 or something & not embarrass our players by asking them to play in the EL. It is a shameful embarrassing competition & it should be scrapped.
MU is a scrub team, finished 6th behind 5 mediocre teams, none of which made it far into the CHL. And they spend more than 100 M every season trying to buy success & then still fail. Mourinho should be fired. Atleast LVG qualified for CHL in his 1st season & came 5th & won the FA cup next season. Bayern would humiliate MU day in & day out !

That utter disrespect to a fine competition like the Europa League should only count as trolling. Also, Bayern was in the UEFA Cup (before it was re-branded as the Europa League), played a full strength side against Getafe too.

Sure we did. I remember the game vividly. Luca Toni scored twiche in extra time so we could progress to get destroyed by Zenit, so that we could then buy Timoschtschuk.
Did footyfan claim otherwise and disrespect the EL?
I must admit to not having read his full posts.

Literally, the 1st paragraph of his post. The 2nd paragraph was just good old fashion Banter with some accurate description of the EPL tied in.What trophies? Borussia Dortmund's decision to part ways with Thomas Tuchel with immediate effect brought an eventful two-year spell to an abrupt halt.
The 43-year-old impressed in his first season in charge at Signal Iduna Park as he led BVB to second in the table after their seventh-placed finish in Jurgen Klopp's last year at the club.
Dortmund might have ended the 2015-16 season well adrift of champions Bayern Munich, but their 78 points from 34 games represented their second-best season in the top flight (81 in 2011-12).
It also marked the highest points tally by a team not to win the Bundesliga.
And even though BVB lost key figures such as Mats Hummels, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Ilkay Gundogan, Tuchel still managed to steer them to third in 2016-17 to clinch automatic Champions League qualification for the second year in succession.
[..]
TUCHEL IN NUMBERS
2.1 - Tuchel has the best points-per-game ratio of all Dortmund coaches in the Bundesliga, ahead of illustrious predecessors Klopp (1.91) and Ottmar Hitzfeld (1.85).
251 - Dortmund scored 251 goals in 107 competitive games under Tuchel, an average of 2.35 goals per game.
0 - BVB were the only Bundesliga team unbeaten at home in the last two seasons, winning 27 and drawing seven of the 34 home games under Tuchel.
11 - Tuchel won his first 11 competitive games after taking over in 2015, setting a new club record.
61.8 - Dortmund won 42 of their 68 Bundesliga games under Tuchel, a win percentage of 61.8.

Some highly favourable stats there but I guess it is an article dedicated to putting Tuchel in a good light. He did finish behind Leipzig though with a "massive" drop in points tally from his first season.

Transitional season - BVB sold all of Hummels, Gündogan and Mkhitaryan during the summer which is as massive a loss of key players as it gets at such a club.
I don't think this can be overstated, and all BVB did was go from 2nd to 3rd. Reus being injured all the time.
The way he did get Pulisic, then 18 years old, Dembele, 19, Weigl, 21, to perform, was stunning.
Let's also not forget that Aubameyang has become a 30 league goals striker only since Tuchel arrived, Klopp had him counterpressing empty space at the wing.

Its Bundesliga, where the likes of Calhanoglu and Holtby are world beaters, take everything Hans says with a giant quarry of salt. Guy is nothing until he proves himself outside of Germany.

Agree. We need to scratch Germany off the list when we talk about players being 'proven in Europe'
Seems Howedes is proving to be a world beater from his hospital bed

He did completely ignore the talents of the best DM in the PL though.

Can't wait for this guy to takeover Bayern and win the league easily. Cue Hans gloating like he's a GOAT manager when the likes of Heinrich Arzeschniffer could achieve the same results if they signed him out of a local brewery's amateur team.
