Malmö FF vs Real Madrid
September 30, 2015 • 19:45 • Swedbank Stadion, Malmö • Referee: Cüneyt Cakir
It goes without saying that, so far, we've been the unluckiest team in the league with the most number of first-teamers sidelined with injuries.
Injury List:
- Ramos
- James
- Bale
- Danilo
- Pepe
- Jesé
Probable Lineup:
This type of games against clear underdogs is usually tricky. We should win this, but we shouldn't go in thinking it's going to be a piece of cake. We struggled against Shakhtar and PSG managed to only score two past Malmo at home. We're playing them away, so it's going to be even more difficult. Having said that, these are must-win games. You never know what could happen against a Di-Maried PSG, so we need all the three points we can get now.

Re: Malmö FF vs Real Madrid
Idk, have you seen City's injury list yet?
Hart, Kompany,Yaya, Bony, Silva, Mangala, Delph, Clichy, Iheanacho, and I heard Aguero is out too.
It could be worse.. Not to mention this should be a stroll for us. All the chances we failed to score last weekend will probably go in against Malmo.

I do hope Benzema gives me a hattrick plus 10 assists. Could do with a nice start in UCL fantasy.
A win would be nice as well.

That's in England. We're talking about the most injury-plagued team in La Liga. What makes us the worst case is the fact that many undisputed starters got injured.
I agree, it could be worse, but we're practically playing with our B-team right now.
I don't think the Malaga game would've ended in draw had Bale, Ramos and James played.

People? People?! PEOPLE?!!!! I would like to think it is not that he is a Godsend but we are lacking real options in terms of wide players so it would be nice to have them back soon. Very soon. Now would be great.
Doubt anyone bar maybe Nick has fully warmed up to him or even kinda warmed up. He is still frosty actually but he is trying this season.

But Bale plays in the center
The big problem is James. Hopefully the Colombian will be ready for Atletico, and hopefully the Welsh playmaker won't.

Re: Malmö FF vs Real Madrid
That's unfair. Bale this season has been electric. I was one of his most vicious critics last season, but if you're incapable of perceiving how far he's come this season, then you're not a critic, you're a biased fan wired to hate Bale regardless of whether he plays well or not.
Seriously, go back and watch him against Espanyol and Betis. Even for the half hour he played against Shakhtar, he played very well.
No, seriously, give credit where credit is due. It's much better than blindly jumping on the Bale bashwagon just for the sake of coming across as cool.

Re: Malmö FF vs Real Madrid
Bale plays in the centre but his trade is a winger hence wide player. And he still drifts out wide anyway but with a little more intelligence. As the other DoC said, let's give credit where it is due even if it just for a couple of games.

Bale playing better than last season doesn't mean anything. Last season he was the worst starter I've ever seen playing for Madrid, at least in attack. He's better this season, but he still isn't better than Isco.

Total agreement but irrelevant to the whole "giving credit where it's due". If we can lash out at bad football, I think we can praise good football which Bale, be it a few games, has shown this season so far.

Bale has been good mostly this season... although i wonder whether i feel he's playing well because of how crap he was last season I expected nothing so anything good is a pleasant surprise.

Why Rafa plays Bale in hole when the team has overwhelming amount of players whose natural game is to play in dat position

Re: Malmö FF vs Real Madrid
Because Bale wants to play there. Regarding the Bale conundrum i believe he has played very well this season but I'll reserve further judgements until he plays a team that'll challenge him in that position like Atleti, Celta or PSG and so far he's played none of those teams and was absent in our win away at Bilbao. He'll probably not be ready for the derby but will be against Celta and PSG only then I can judge him and the same with James who I haven't been impressed with in big game, no amount of golazos against fodder teams will cloud my judgement with regards to his performances. It's all fine and dandy getting injured when things get tough only to come back and score a couple of golazos and then dissappear again making people hold him in high regard as if he's actually done something useful in a big game
Regarding Malmö, they are unpredictable. Their home form in Europe is great, Juve last season scored in the last 5 minutes through a freekick. But they've sold 10 of their starters that did so well last season and have struggled a little in the league. They usually play long balls to Rosenberg but thank god we have a tall player in defence who can deal with those. A Norweigan winger named Berget is their biggest threat on the wings but he faces Carvajal so I am not too worried about him in fact Malmös strongest area after long balls is that left side of theirs with a very attacking left back and a tricky winger. Thank god they'll be up against Kova and Carvajal who will deal with them. I think we are the worst match up for them so I don't think we will struggle to score unless they employ 10 behind the ball tactics to just get a point. I dont think they are expecting to go through though so they might be a little ambitous and let it all out before their double header against Shaktar which are must win/draws for them

Someone really wants Vazquez over Bale?
I know I'm hard on Bale, and how he played last season, that was justified. But Vazquez is a downright scrub.

Yeah come on now... Bale is still a good player. We just have problems creating shape with him and CR on the same team. Vazquez is about 10 levels below.

Bale.............. it's hard for me to get over the level of ineptitude he showed last season.
I've never seen something like that before and Graveson, Woodgate and Faubert have played for us *shudder*

I've heard and read that Karembeu was a total waste of time, love, money and space. Need Tito to confirm such things.

I think we are going to see Kovacic in today.
Benzema; Ronaldo, Isco, Kovacic, Modric, Kroos; Marcelo, Nacho, Varane, Dani, Navas

Re: Malmö FF vs Real Madrid
absolutely shitty half by kovacic, lost like 10 balls, got outmuscled easily, mostly sleeping or standing still as if he is cr7, has less vision then isco.
what happened to him, he was going nicely.

1. Relax.
2. He was nowhere near as bad as you are stating.
3. What do you mean, "What happened to him"?, it's the 1st half.
