Another one of those games we should be winning comfortably. They lost at home to Villarreal this past Sunday so they aren't even as good as last season

Injury reports:

-Bale may be out for a month according to reputable sources
-Ramos suffered a dislocated shoulder/collarbone and will be out from the Granada game, it's unclear whether he will be fit for the game against Bilbao
-Varane only had a scare and will be available for selection
-Danilo and James are still out but James is determined to be back in 1-2 weeks

I hope Rafa rotates properly this game, no need to overwork certain players who don't need to feature

Ronaldo to continue statpadding and Navas to continue his clean sheet record

I think we are going to see Jese in for Bale. Benitez said Kovacic is not the replacement for Bale, he only entered game for him because his assets were the best match for their tactics. I think the midfield could be anyone of the four. Question does Benitez have enough trust in Kovacic and Casemiro to rest both Kroos and Modric?

Also I wouldn't be surprised to see Denis get his first action, likely in a sub role.

Hala, is Varane in for sure? I thought they said he MAY be ready for the weekend.

I would hazard a guess that Benitez wants either Modric or Kroos to start as they have more chemistry with the rest of our players.

I do hope Rafa plays Jese or even Lucas in place of Bale. They deserve to play these kind of games

According to the media Varane only suffered a graze and was stiched up. Think I read on Marca that he would be fit vs Granada. Even if he isn't Nacho is more than capable to fill in imo so that part of the field is not an issue for us

Another stat padding session for Cristiano to enjoy. And I too hope to see Jese start or at least feature. Kovacic on the right seems incredibly odd but we'll see.

Apparently Kovacic will play in the midfield over Jese according to both AS and Marca. I don't mind as long as Jese gets some solid minutes in the second half

this can be won just bit more intensity, some players are a bit too relaxed.

what was THAT. I bet we have like 20% pass accuracy as a team. Every ball we play is array and every shot horrendous. I know we have a more important game midweek but we need to bloody score. I would take out one of Modric or kroos for Kovacic they have both been awful in fact I would add Casemiro too to add some energy to these pos
