Our key players, are easily Barca quality and in line with historically great players we have had.

But our bench is historically bad, filled with quantity but not quality.

And we have id say a group of 4 or 5 players who are very good and good enough to be at Barca, but should be more rotational options rather than starting more than the majority of matches.

Rakitic was brought solely because hes a workhorse that doesnt mind to do plenty of hard work to cover for MSN. Basically midfield is not the core of the team anymore and scoring/creating is on the shoulders of MSN only. Its really showing when you see all Liga goals so far have been shared between MSN and Bartra&Vermaelen

So yeah we could do better than than Rakitic and make midfield stronger and capable of creating and not only doing the donkey work

Unreal similarities in their playstyle. The outside of the foot pass @ 2:47, the dribbling, the drop of the shoulder, the turns. Never seen a player resemble another player so much. Laughing

Hahaha that thread is one of the reasons I joined. I found because I used to lurk on the old Goal forums (vbul).

I think for every good transfer from Arsenal, we end up with 4-5 fodder transfers.

You guys have to realise that one of Arsene's biggest quality is to make average/decent players play much above their level.

Players like Song or Vermaelen were/are never barca quality.

to our board for not recognizing this simple fact. Or at least seeing it, everybody on this forum could see that Verm and Song aren't Barca quality, and yet we've gone and bought them.

Rafinha was much, much better on loan at Celta than Halilovic was at Sporting. With us he hasn't flopped, he just hasn't played. Different things. He won't play much this season either with our 3242435 midfielders.
