The Fernando Muslera Appreciation Thread
Legendary performance from him tonight. Been a while since I've seen a Goalkeeping performance as good as that.

Wasn't really soft just bad placement. Pastore and Higuains penalties were lucky anyway.

Re: The Fernando Muslera Appreciation Thread
His save on the Tevez freekick was absolutely brilliant.
His commanding ability in the box sometimes has been questioned, but he's without doubt one of the best shot stoppers in the world imo.

Re: The Fernando Muslera Appreciation Thread
I've never really rated him much, but I've always acknowledged he was great at penalties. In this game he performed like a top 3 keeper; collected pretty much all shots and crosses comfortably and made some great saves. He did do the decisive save against Tevez's penalty, but his double save against Tevez's free kick and Higuain's shot was that play of the game IMO.

He is a goalkeeper in Serie A. To be a goalkeeper in Serie A you have to be very good or you get sold to a lesser league.

A superb performance by Muslera. Man Of The Match by a mile. Lazio might be regretting selling him...

He was loyal to them but the Lazio president is a cheap one. He sold him to get to Cana.Immaculate_Mole wrote:Mercenary that leaves for Turkish football......

One of the best shot stoppers (Not GK's) in world football.
However he is liable to a few howlers.
One of the best in Serie-A until he left, but sad to see him leave in the circumstances that occured.

Neuer-Jr.
I'm going to have to give credit to Romero, too. He has been great all cup long and actually did extremely well considering Burdisso-Milito match van Buyten-Demichelis in terms of suck.

Good point, there was nothing he could do about Uruguay's penalties, they were all pretty much unstoppable.Sushi Master wrote:Neuer-Jr.
