Re: Manchester United 2015/2016 UEFA Champions League
Memphis is too eager to impress. He needs to realise that the team comes first, rather than trying to do everything on his own.
I agree with Mac that he does get himself into good positions, just lacks that quality decisiveness that will come with more experience.
On the other side of the spectrum, Martial is the opposite. 19 y/o and has the composure of a seasoned veteran. Seriously been impressed with what I've seen of him so far.

I thought schweini would struggle a little at manu given fact he played from childhood for a club whose playing style is not exactly similar to manu and also players at this age are less flexible to change. But boy has he adopted or what. Last year what manu most importantly missed was leadership and solid rock at middle and he is stepping up plate lyk 25 yr age lad. If he goes on lyk this without injuries manu have really good shot at league title.#fusbolgott

WHat you said makes no sense. He came from a team where LVG started implementing positional play that was taken further by Pep. Why would he struggle to adapt when he in fact understands what LVG wants more than all our cms? Logic of peace.

Good point regarding LVG system. yet he had to adopt to epl as well didn't he. We have seen many younger players struggle to adopt fast pace of epl. But he seems adopt it lyk fish to water

A point away in Russia is not a bad outcome.
Felt we could have won it if we really wanted to towards the end, but the team seemed content with a draw. Rather disappointing.

Herrera dropped, most likely punished for his miss v Palace While the Boring One continues to play the untouchable has-been.
Pleased to see Lingard given a chance. Darmian dropped is good, he's been in poor form for a while now.
Carrick and Schweini starting together fills me with dread, they're too slow and immobile, too alike too.
Whatever though, just get the win! If this is another 0-0.....

Noo that is not why. The coach has to make decisions, this is dependable on the tactics of the opponent, it is dependable on the gameplan, it is also dependable on the balance of the team, that I have already spoken about.

Smalling. Captain. Now. What a vital block that was right before we scored.
Lingard was crap first half, much better 2nd half. Impressive assist.
Martial's sub pissed me off so badly. Lucky for LVG, the win will over shadow that decision. Even though Martial didn't have his best game.
Smalling and De Gea though
I liked the fact we played with intent and purpose, and upped the tempo tonight. The crowd were getting on the team's back, and that served as a kick up the back-side they needed.

Re: Manchester United 2015/2016 UEFA Champions League
If LVG wasn't such a coward and didn't set us up so negative against PSV, we would have gone through to the next round.
We played with such intensity last night, but it was too little, too late. Where was this urgency in the earlier more important matches?
Not bothered, PSV draw sealed our fate. Knew we wouldn't get through, we didn't deserve it too.
. smh x 1000000.

Re: Manchester United 2015/2016 UEFA Champions League
I have to say borthwick johnson has been a revelation so far. Darmian on the left doesn't work well because he is right footed. The kid showed balls in the biggest game he could play and in the most hostile atmosphere he will face as a United player. Shut of attacks in that flank. He did well against Wolfsburg as well. Hopefully LVG uses him a bit more.
