I don't want to talk to you farfan.
You promised me Bernardinho Silvano was the best young talent out there and I lost a bet now.

I'm definitely not amused. I had hoped that Gladbach might meet Basel in the CL.RealGunner wrote:It's ok to be sad rwo

Yeah, you're probably right. It has come to the point where I wonder whether Monaco wouldn't have maybe won hadn't I bet on them. Same with Leverkusen. Arsenal's season doomed too because of me ffs.farfan wrote:Iosing bets is your thing man.Hapless_Hans wrote:I don't want to talk to you farfan.

I need to stop, but it's hard. Why can't I win for ONCE?

Re: Champions League 2015/16 Qualification
It wasn't totally unrealistic, although they always struggled against Maccabi. Last time they met, the match ended 3:3 in Israel, but only because Yann Sommer managed to save a couple of total sitters right in the end of the match, or Maccabi would have kicked out Basel even then.Art Morte wrote:Women and their unrealistically romantic dreams, huh?

Re: Champions League 2015/16 Qualification
My fellow countryman, Ødegaard's former team mate and currently one of Malmö's CMs, Jo Inge Berget hopes that Malmö will draw against Real Madrid in the Champions League. It made me realize that Real Madrid really don't have the same aura of intimidation that they had during the late 90s, and to some extent, during the early 2000s. Teams used to fear Real Madrid, and it was not only based on their past reputation or star power, but they knew that Real Madrid were capable of thrashing any opposing team.
I said during one of Real Madrid's games in the league last year that they looked like they wouldn't be able to beat my local team, Strømsgodset, and I'm honestly still not confident that they'd "definitely" be able to beat Malmö over two legs. But that's the realist in me talking. Apart from Barcelona, which teams possess the quality, organization and consistency required to advance to the finals this year? What's your predictions for the teams that will advance to the semi-finals?

Re: Champions League 2015/16 Qualification
I highly doubt that Ødegaard will get a chance to play for the first team any time soon, and definitely not in the CL, so it's not very likely that they would meet that way.
Prestige to play RM? Hmm.. maybe, but then it would be more natural to pick Barcelona considering they're the current champions, and they undoubtedly performed better than any other team last season. RM, on the other hand, were lucky to reach the semis of the CL based on their overall level of performance - they struggled against Schalke, and they just barely managed to fight their way past Atletico.

So there's gonna be a Spanish team in almost every group, imagine Sevilla ending up 3rd placed and eventually win the EL again lol

Better win the EL and get a CL spot than going out after the group stage.

Re: Champions League 2015/16 Qualification
Yeah imo half of the teams that get eliminated in first KO round would win EL comfortably anyway. Dnipro reached the final last year ffs
Any decent team can with, they just don't give a shit imo

My bad , I thought both were in pot 1. How come it's not the case ? It won't happen nonetheless.

Pot 1 is strictly CL winner and league winners now, as Jay explained.
