Speaking from my experience with Skyrim, yes Bethesda does make the most immersive world considering I spent hundreds of hours immersed on that game and so did a million of others and four years on are still being done so. Glitches and bugs are in a lot of games and yes console Skyrim has a lot but later patches fixed everything major. Those nearly identical NPCs you talking about, I know them better than I know my own neighbors. Sigurd who works for Belethor General Good Store, the Ysolda who wants to get rich by trading with Khajits, Nazeem who is the chief tourist guide of the Cloud District I could go on and on all day. They reused voice actors and that's supposed to take me out of my enjoyment and immersion. And shit gameplay I am not even gonna bother I'll just say on the hundreds of hours I invested on it I did not find the gameplay shit and I can confirm that I was not brainwashed by hype and marketing.

Not surprising though, I remember you called Skyrim a glorified tech demo before and a shallow game. Just like every hyped game the last generation sucks except for Nintendo ones. Skyrim shallow glorified tech demo, TLOU a glorified movie, Uncharted shit, GTA sucks, Walking Dead average etc.

On Fallout 3 I remember the world being very immersive. It's what kept me playing. I did not like the gameplay that much and that's probably because I was a scrub or did not really get it. I kept running out of bullets, dying, getting radiation.

He does have a point about NPCs to a point though, Witcher 3 did a much better job at immersing you into giving a shit about them.

Partly because they talk, act and move like real people and not lifeless mannequins lol. Think Bioware based on Mass Effect (not really played anything else from them) does a better job in this department too.

Won't really talk about gameplay because I'm yet to play an RPG with amazing 10/10 gameplay tbh.

I am sorry I have higher standards for glitches and bugs. I expect games I buy to work, as opposed to major quests glitching, loading screen taking half of my game time, frequent game crashes, and bugs galore. If Bethesda have not done their job making the game properly on the PS3, they should not have released it.

Even though PayDay is neglected on consoles I'm thinking of picking it up to play with friends.

Have no preference over Skyrim and Witcher but the people you came across in witcher bar the main characters were generic farmland peasants with the same accent lol.


Skyrim was immersive as fuak, and the glitches after the patches were released were not an issue. My only big complaint about Skyrim was that I didn't feel the guilds had nearly enough depth. As fun as they were, I don't want to go straight in to a guild and solve a gigantic problem within 20 minutes of showing up. I want to work my way up, Oblivion nailed that better.

Voices wise yeah, but they seemed more alive if you get me. The ones in Skyrim seemed like robots instead of people lol.

It's unfair to compare because Skyrim is 5 years old but the difference in how they respond to you in terms of facial expression etc is more life like.

Best npc interaction & banter gotta be Bioware games, generally u give a fak about them, Bethesda got the world building right but conversation is boring ass. In general, I want the mix of two. Witcher comes close but the gameplay is still steep, if only they could borrow Bloodborne mechanics.

I prefer Souls type rpg, less chatty & in ur face, more subtle, more pew pew.

Agreed, the only thing i dislike about Bioware games compared to the Witcher games is it's filler quests and the fact it's decisions are so black and white.... it's either good or bad and no in between. CD Projekt Red handled that stuff a lot better than Bioware does IMO.

I think the reason Mass Effect 2 is so well regarded is because very few of it is filler. They nailed the suicide mission aspect of it, and it made you care more about your crew than the universe.

Conversely, ME3 was garbage even when not counting the garbage ending, even though it improved the good ME2 gameplay.

Agreed Spencer, tbh that was more of a general comment on Bioware as it wasn't really the case with Mass Effect 2.

Was my favourite RPG for ages, absolutely loved that game. Hopefully the new one is somewhere close.

Handed in Batman & BF for a future game which I haven't decided yet. Hustled a the division & BO3 beta codes from the gamestop employee aswell. Tried to get a UC4 beta aswell but the pos was too hard in the end lmao.

Still gonna buy the collection though.

Oh and negotiated a used AW copy for €28 instead of €42

There's been an Closed Alpha on PC so i'd be very surprised if there isn't one.

Considering it's Dice as well, even if it's just a glorified PR one a couple of weeks before release i think we'll get one. As long as it doesn't conflict with the UC4 beta lol.
