Claudio Bravo: The King of Clean sheets

Claudio Bravo, Chile's Captain, and Barca's La liga keeper. He's taken off big since the last WC. Had a solid La Liga campaign breaking all kinds of records along the way. Won the Zamora and named the best La Liga keeper. Solid for his country, and now named the best keeper of the Copa. Has more trophies than messi in 2015.

I have known Bravo since his Real Sociedad days but he never impressed, personally, neither for CHL until recently. But you can’t deny his leadership, and the consistency he’s hit the past season or so.

So what is the deal with him.
- Was he always talented and the real deal but was unlucky to not be picked by a big club before Barca? OR He’s now hit his peak and stars have aligned for him. In which case, how long do you think it will last?
- Do you think he has it in him to send Ter stegen packing back to GER?
- Do you think Bravo is the best keeper of the Americas? And where do you rate him amongst the Europe’s best?

When did this happen?

MAtS can't surpass the greatest keeper born in the 80s.

Going by the lack of contribution here..

I can only think of 2 reasons ..

- Either GL public is unaware of Bravo's greatness.
- Aware of the greatness, but don't want to acknowledge it due to personal bias or whatever.

But one thing is certain.

Bravo > your fav GK.

It's funny, the moment you step out of that least shot faced luxury every Barca Gk have they look scrubs. Valdes , Bravo....stegen next in line for sure considering he couldn't even displace Bravo.

Hart has kept twice as many clean sheets as Bravo in the league this season.

Bravo is still a great GK, its just being the GK of Pep u r bound to be forced into mistakes, this one was unfortunately but huge.

Really shows the difference between the Premier League and La Liga. All the great strikers play for 3 teams total and the Barça/Madrid GK's keep dozens of clean sheets against scrubs.

Honestly he was great for Chile and Barcelona. I'm not talking about the ability with feet bullshit, I'm talking about goalkeeping. Don't know what happened to the guy but the whole team is a mess, it is easy to scapegoat Bravo.

Considering how this forum goes on, it sounds like a lot of the goals are his fault so no it isn't scapegoating.

He was an average keeper at Sociedad before Barca, not hard to look good for Barca as a goalkeeper i'm going to lean towards the direction that his career says he isn't that good.

he is a terrible shot stopper

Bravo is average, but the defense has been atrocious too, which makes Bravo looks even worse.

It was the same with Hart. He's better than Bravo by miles but after Mancini left he was never the same due to the garbage defense.
