Can't believe he went for 11m pounds when most Arsenal fans just want him as a sturdy backup to Chesney Laughing

Then again, we signed Bravo for 12m right after signing MaTS, so maybe the crazy is in the air.

It's actually not that cheap considering what goalkeepers go for. 11M pounds or 15M Euros. For a 33 year old goalkeeper with only 1 year left on his contract that's quite expensive in general. But it's strenghtening Arsenal big time and 11M pounds is not a lot of money in absolute numbers so it's a great deal nevertheless despite making him top 6 most expensive goalkeepers of all time if I got that right.

I fully understand him, he doesn't want to leave London and Chelsea are being amazing by not forcing him to stay or selling him overseas.

The only light at the end of the tunnel is the fact we're not selling him to Spurs.

Spuds would muck it up even if Arsenal, City and Chelsea gifted them 3 starting-XI players each. It would be massively disrespecting Cech to do that - like sentencing him to hell for crime he had nothing to do with. Laughing

Amazing catch for Arsenal...Finally a proper goalkeeper.

Cech is truly amazing and I was personally disappointed to see Courtois starting,as I feel Cech is still better than him,but Chelsea would have lost Courtois unless they gave him a spot in the team.He was already loaned to a top club and there was no step forward to be made in loaning him again and unfortunately that all happened at Cech's expense.

Because goalkeepers are underpriced don't mean it's a lot money.

Also stop acting like 33 is old Laughing it's almost as cringe worthy as those Mandzukic is 29 so he can't be good comments.

I think Cech and Courtois are on par with each having strengths in different areas. However Chelsea were right to stick with Courtois as he is the future.
