Re: Official FC Inter thread
Given Inter's finances might as well go for Vlahovic and gamble on a long term solution rather than spend big money on Zapata and have to look for alternatives soon enough.

Being 30 now and nearly past his prime doesnt help.
Its like they are trying to get another Lukaku who is tall, strong and can finish but he is nowhere near him.
Not that Lukaku is exactly a big game striker by any means but its a substantial downgrade.

Lukaku is a better player, but I guess I just don't rate him as highly as others. If you have to replace him, Zapata is not that much of a drop. A bigger problem is to replace Hakimi. And the biggest problem is to replace Conte.
Anyway, as I said, rather gamble on Vlahovic in any case.

Zapata has had an impressive last 3 seasons but that really was just his prime and for me I see him mostly has a physical player.
I dont rate Lukaku as high as others either as unlike Zapata, Lukaku basically doesnt come through in big games at all.
Didn't at the Euros, doesnt for Inter in the UCL let alone the laughable EL final performance.
For Inter fans there is solace as sometimes it is better to cash out on a player at this age, a perspective I once never shared when Milan sold Kaka, which devastated me.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Romelu Lukaku has informed Inter that he wants to join Chelsea, so the club must now extract the maximum possible fee https://t.co/QD1bGhmJSB #FCIM #CFC #Lukaku
— footballitalia (@footballitalia) August 4, 2021
The difference between Inter and Milan:
Inter: Bows down to the demands and whims of its player (Lukaku)
Milan: Doesn't budge or defer for any player, the club is bigger than anyone (Hakan and Donnarumma)
Know your level.

Inter would be winners in this deal if they reinvest most of that money but considering their situation, don't think it's happening.
Just goes to.show the spending power of these rich Arab and Russian owners and likewise the poor economic situation of Serie A.

The alternatives are Kane and Haaland, both whom will demand ginormous fees
Lukaku will guarantee them 20+ goals a season against non-top 6 sides, and rest assured, his first touch hasn't changed, he hasn't morphed into something else. Its just that relative to the pace of Serie A, his first touch is insane by Italy's standards

Chelsea are getting confident to sign Lukaku soon. Direct talks with Inter, new official bid coming. €12m net per season + add ons offered to Romelu who’s open to re-join Chelsea

Inter are considering Duván Zapata as replacement - and Atalanta will go for Tammy Abraham.

According to reports in Italy, the Zhang family forced Inter directors to sell Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea and neither Beppe Marotta nor Simone Inzaghi took it too well. https://t.co/0qS0JNWjSs #FCIM #Inter #SerieA #Calcio #CFC #Chelsea
— footballitalia (@footballitalia) August 5, 2021
Wow shit really is hitting the fan, I can't see Inzaghi leaving due to how he left Lazio with Lotito. But Ausillio and the other club directors, i can see them leave.
There's also some rumblings of de Vrij wanting to leave as well
Now that is some sad stuff, the team is being dismantled left and right. Lets see if they'll cash in on de Vrij and Lautaro.
Inter 2021-22
Skriniar-Radu-Bastoni
Darmian-Barella-Brozovic-Perisic
Hakan
Sanchez-Zapata
That team would barely finish top 4

Chelsea are now pushing to sign Romelu Lukaku, and to complete the deal as soon as possible.
— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 5, 2021#CFC
Lukaku’s open to accept personal terms [€12m net] - if Inter and Chelsea will agree on fee/details.
New official Chelsea bid coming soon - fee expected to be more than €110m.

All this hype when he came because he is young and pretty along with the cringe inducing marketing spiel like Juventus.
They change the logo into something terrible, take away the iconic sponsor.
Drive Conte away, then their star player and most likely Lautaro.

Inter is ruined, nothing good ever comes out of Chinese ownership, i can see them sell 2-3 more players tbh
A moment of silence for Hakan who went to Inter to..

BREAKING: Inter Milan is heading towards Liquidation. The plan is to sell every player who receives a bid. Selling Lukaku isn’t the end: Lautaro Martinez, Barella, De Vrij. No-one can be certain of wearing the Inter shirt next season.

Re: Official FC Inter thread
China's government told its businesses to pull back investment in European football, which obviously doesn't help Inter's finances, especially during a pandemic. On top of that, Suning's own business in China is failing due to the pandemic. Suning had to close down its Chinese Super Club team Jiangsu Suning after they won the title, by some coincidence.
There's some other stuff too which I found here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/FCInterMilan/comments/ozo0vb/where_did_it_all_go_wrong_for_suning/
It sounds like they banked on the Super League hauling them out of trouble but that fell through, so their only option now is to sell their prized players. Reports of them being close to liquidation aren't factual as far I know, since they're still signing players, but it does seem like they're players are available for a certain price.

@Kaladin

Their collapse is worse than Barca's. Just that they're not as relevant as Barca or Messi for people to give a shit about.
Italy wins a European championship but it's domestic league is in shambles. Sad state of affairs.
