Eddie Howe Watch

Name's been barely mentioned on here, as a search shows.

As is always a good position to be in when starting a thread, I don't know anything about him, other than that I realized that he has managed his home club AFC Bournemouth to promotion into the Premier League, starting as candidates for relegation from League Two (!), within an effective time frame of just about 5 seasons.

That's a run from 4th into 1st tier, at the tender age of 37

In between of which seasons he had an apparently unimpressive 2 season side trip to Burnley, while Bournemouth waited in League One on his return, to continue their meteoric rise once he was back.

That's a pretty crazy achievement, and I wonder if there are precedents of managers with this kind of impressive run at such an age.

Therefore, now that he enters the international spotlight which comes with featuring in PL, it's time we get some hype going, and accompany and presage his future GOAT career with our observations.

People with actual knowledge, should they exist, might want to fill in details, everyone else pls discuss away.

I'm going to make a bold prediction and say he'll replace Rodgers when we fire him.

I'm surprised Hans has heard of him lol, he's a very promising coach as English coaches go though.

Bornmouth have also spent some money, though, they're owned by some Russian businessman since 2011.

But obviously very impressive stuff by Howe. A Burnley-like season would already be good by Bornmouth in the Prem, imo; surviving in the league would be incredible and would make me jump head on on the "Howe for Rodgers' assistant manager" bandwagon.

What's been mostly impressive is the football they play, not the usual hoofball crap used by most championship teams.

I'm really looking forward to watching them, i do believe they could be another Swansea.

Had a rough start.
Long term injuries to many key players, or so I read. Unlucky results. All of it tough blows for an underdog.

But now he's arrived in the PL. Back to back wins over Chelsea and Man United. Starting to depart the relegation range.

His sheer presence assisted 6 goals. Must have amassed appearance assists in the double figures since joining tbh.
