Still making my way through the first one. Should get to Dark Souls 3 in a couple years

Channelling my inner RG

game has some HUGE WTF moments relating to Dark Souls 1, so playing through that will pay off. You'll think nothing of them otherwise.

can i smash DS1 in 5 days?

Personally I'm glad that my playing DS1 has spanned over the entire academic year so far, it keeps me from punching a hole in my wall.

It's certainly possible, but I wouldn't suggest it tbh

The way i play it I doubt i'll be able to rush through it.

Not to mention i will have to play on inferior PC so that's another issue

not worth it now anyway, you will still enjoy this game, just the lore and areas all come full circle this time around. plus dark souls is so ugly now ffs.

dat feeling when i can't platinum it on JPN version and then english

on PS3 separate regions have their own trophy lists but it seems its all across the board now

gonna take me a month to get platinum in this, more like the other dark souls games than bloodborne with collecting all rings, spells etc ffs

finished the game a couple of days ago..played a disgusting amount of time so it will take you forever

can see myself playing the pvp for a long long time

70% through NG+ playthrough atm

still think I prefer Bloodborne slightly, but this is best dark souls game ever.,..although my memories of dark souls 1 probably keep it as my favorite, DS3 could easily supplant it with time

Nothing as difficult as the chalice dungeon late bosses, nah. Some amazing boss battles towards the late game mechanic wise. Also has the best locations in the entire series (including Bloodborne) tons of secrets too.

Love playing the first few weeks of dark souls when you can find the completely broken builds before they nerf them with a patch

carried me to DS2 platinum, found another insane build, been 2 shotting ppl in pvp all day

enemy AI is also the best in the series by far, some enemies feel unfair ffs

Take away Nostalgia of your first souls experience which most people will never forget, it's no doubt the best Dark Souls game ever. I still think Bloodborne is the best game they've ever made. Dark Souls 3 feels like it's retreading a lot of ground in homage to the past games in the series (including Demon Souls) lots of moments that will have you remembering your time with the older games with the little and full blown nods to previous games. After (pretty much) 4 games in the Souls series in the span of 4 years for me Bloodborne just feels more fresh with new ideas, even though it is definitely a souls game mechanically, there's something more satisfying about the aggressive fast paced style of Bloodborne. Dark Souls 3 is still a very, very good game though and it has something Bloodborne lacked, diversity with builds and an insane amount of weapons and armor sets. PVP will keep me coming back to this for years.

Will you start from scratch in the english version or you can carry the game over?

start from scratch since saves don't carry over from regions

nah, I did the ending save thing like in Bloodborne (there are multiple endings in DS3)

but you need to go to NG++ minimum because there are +1 and +2 rings that only show up at NG+ and NG++ for the collect every ring trophy

although summoned players can drop items in other players games for them to pick up so theoretically it's possible

I went to NG+++ (but only 1/4 through) because NPC stuff is complex and easy to miss and half of the information needed for platinum I had to find myself or translate from japanese websites ffs

first playthrough was insanely long since I was just playing the game normally but my other playthroughs were just running through them like Bloodborne, which you can do in a few hours

So I might not be able to platinum it before UC4.

ffs so hyped. First dark soul game for me. Most likely will end up as top 5 of all time.

Wish it was more difficult than BB though

m99 I imagine but he tends to play games late because of his student responsibilities

imagine RG will take 2+ months to finish this like Fallout IMO, similar length for me, although a lot of ppl are saying they beat everything in 30-40 hrs

Can only play during weekends mostly so probably 2-3 months. Will try to finish it before U5 but doubt it.

I believe Dark Souls 3 has a few less bosses than all of the other games in fact

it has a bunch of 'mini boss' encounters though that make up for it..some of them look straight out of bloodborne ffs

I was actually a bit rustled about the bosses in this like I mentioned, the first few feel really easy and too many bosses have gimmicks

but there are a lot of great ones towards the final third and some good ones before that
