This is not a good match for a pyromancer.

Re: Dark Souls 3
I am such an idiot
Was playing DS like Witcher and was wondering why I can't beat Abyss Watchers. Completely forgot the basics.
Just beat him with no flask used. Had to rely on Pyromancy and patience. He didn't hit me once with his 2nd phase.
Amazing fight though. Great music. Probably one of my favourites.

Re: Dark Souls 3
Oh that bloodraven wannabe.
Yea i checked it earlier when i got his soul. Not able to equip anything as pos requires dex/strength 95% of the time.
still using level 1 pyro garb n armour

Re: Dark Souls 3
Yeah Abyss Watchers wrecked me for a bit too(pyro as well). That and Pontiff are probably the hardest I've faced so far.
Re: Dark Souls 3
Really wish they had sidestep and backstep from BB in this game. Rolling is too awkard.
Still can't believe i couldn't figure out Abyss.

Re: Dark Souls 3
there is a sidestep
it's weapon art for daggers though lol
you're a couple bosses away from a noticeable difficulty spike btw, have no idea how you're gonna win with a pleb pyro build for the fight i'm thinking of

Re: Dark Souls 3
I am assuming you have to break those bracelets
Anyways, noticed you can cut the bridge to go down. Went down to find out there is a fire dragon. Which is a nightmare for a pyro lmaooo
ignored that dragon to find a chest
which obviously ate me

Re: Dark Souls 3
that area is high risk high reward at your lvl IMO, really annoying area, but yeah that boss is easy and a straight up gimmick, really disliked it

Re: Dark Souls 3
loool, those areas are optional but have tons of secrets and loot worth getting if you're exploring well, bunch of large shards in the lake too, boss is quite challenging if you aren't a decent lvl also, you have 0 chance against it with a pyro build
save that area for later IMO, go forward past high lord wolnir, GOAT area in a souls game

Re: Dark Souls 3
actually since you're pyro you will want to smash that area asap, tons of hidden but important pyro build items down there, but every enemy is strong to fire damage lol

Re: Dark Souls 3
part of the story, anri/horace questline is the most complex one with it going tons of different ways but the horace part is unavoidable
